Let's pump the brakes. Before we get too excited let's see a couple series wins. This month. My heart can't take the disappointment.

More specifically, what RPI do we need at the end of the season to make a regional? I know it's not an exact science given some automatic qualifiers.
We're 68 after the series win at UT.greg.w.h said:Higher than current 111…MagnumLoad said:

Would be nice to Edit in to OP post a clock running with it going to zero on the day they announce teams for the Regionals.....Quote:
Do we have enough time?

Haha. My daughter texted me at the final game in Omaha when we were down 6-1 in the 8th. I was in the CF bleachers, and calmly told her to have faith, that we were gonna come back and fight like heck, but our rally would fall agnozingly short, just to make the heartbreak worse...then I watched it unfold as if the words were spoken in prophecy. Dad, are you a prophet? No, sweetie, just a lifelong Aggie.

one inning at a time one game at time. Quit forecasting and planning just play.
We will be fine I think we have became a team now.
13 wins is the number needed to get to get an invite.
Maybe. But our fans insisting on trying to control outcomes from their seats or from their living rooms just never will work. Enjoy the game. It's going to turn out with wonderful surprises and terrible heartbreaks. Every pitch counts in fact.phatty26 said:

Unless we make some crazy run in the post season, we still want a new coach, right?

The beautiful thing about baseball is that until you run out of it mathematically, there is no clock or time.i know this sounds cliche, but just beat Sam.BTHOB-98 said:
If we play like we did in the last couple of games we can beat just about anybody. Question I have if we somehow turn the corner do you have time to get back into this thing?

Tell that to Kentucky during a game three.

The 2022 Ol Miss team has been brought up a couple of times already, and I have an update.
The Ags are now 16-15 and 3-9 in conference. After four conference series that Ol Miss team was 19-12 and 4-8. So they were ahead of where the Aggies are now. But, they weren't really that close to turning it around yet. They lost their next three conf series to So Carolina, then to Miss State, and then Arkansas. So there's still time for the Aggies, but their margin for error is pretty low.

Yep, LSU started 3-12 last year and made a Super. Winning the games is all that matters.

They lost in regionals at North Carolina, but the point is valid…grind to 13 wins and try to go make some noise from there

That homerun by Tennessee in the 7th to make it 5-1 felt like the back breaker.
I did think somehow we would at least tie it in the 9th but Ted Burton had a really rough final series and that last strikeout was brutal.
The biggest tease was they had in the merchandise tent a place where they had the national champs merch for both teams set to open after the game. So seeing all the Texas A&M national champions merchandise was torture. There were some champions flags and polos I was going to buy
