Let's pump the brakes. Before we get too excited let's see a couple series wins. This month. My heart can't take the disappointment.

More specifically, what RPI do we need at the end of the season to make a regional? I know it's not an exact science given some automatic qualifiers.

Somehow, some way get to 14 wins and we'll be in. And there will literally be no one that will want to host a regional with us in it as a 3 seed.

We're 68 after the series win at UT.

Haha. My daughter texted me at the final game in Omaha when we were down 6-1 in the 8th. I was in the CF bleachers, and calmly told her to have faith, that we were gonna come back and fight like heck, but our rally would fall agnozingly short, just to make the heartbreak worse...then I watched it unfold as if the words were spoken in prophecy. Dad, are you a prophet? No, sweetie, just a lifelong Aggie.

That homerun by Tennessee in the 7th to make it 5-1 felt like the back breaker.

I did think somehow we would at least tie it in the 9th but Ted Burton had a really rough final series and that last strikeout was brutal.

The biggest tease was they had in the merchandise tent a place where they had the national champs merch for both teams set to open after the game. So seeing all the Texas A&M national champions merchandise was torture. There were some champions flags and polos I was going to buy

My realistic prediction is that we will win our last five Tuesday games and 11 of our remaining 18 SEC games to finish 32-22 (14-16 SEC). Hopefully, that will be enough to make the NCAA baseball tournament.

South Carolina: 3-0
@Arkansas: 1-2
@Texas: 1-2
LSU: 1-2
Missouri: 3-0
@Georgia: 2-1

one inning at a time one game at time. Quit forecasting and planning just play.

We will be fine I think we have became a team now.

13 wins is the number needed to get to get an invite.

I will try… I don't think I have any ability to make any impact on the team

Maybe. But our fans insisting on trying to control outcomes from their seats or from their living rooms just never will work. Enjoy the game. It's going to turn out with wonderful surprises and terrible heartbreaks. Every pitch counts in fact.

Unless we make some crazy run in the post season, we still want a new coach, right?

I'd say making a regional would make me want to keep him. That would mean we finished VERY strong

If we play like we did in the last couple of games we can beat just about anybody. Question I have if we somehow turn the corner do you have time to get back into this thing?
The beautiful thing about baseball is that until you run out of it mathematically, there is no clock or time.i know this sounds cliche, but just beat Sam.

If this team can somehow manage to play this well against every SEC team moving forward, this team makes the NCAA tourney and a shot to play in Omaha.

Tell that to Kentucky during a game three.

Yep. Adding a clock to baseball creates distortions in tactics. There's no reason for SEC games to have drop dead times. They need to make some changes to the travel rules.

The 2022 Ol Miss team has been brought up a couple of times already, and I have an update.

The Ags are now 16-15 and 3-9 in conference. After four conference series that Ol Miss team was 19-12 and 4-8. So they were ahead of where the Aggies are now. But, they weren't really that close to turning it around yet. They lost their next three conf series to So Carolina, then to Miss State, and then Arkansas. So there's still time for the Aggies, but their margin for error is pretty low.

Yep, LSU started 3-12 last year and made a Super. Winning the games is all that matters.

They lost in regionals at North Carolina, but the point is valid…grind to 13 wins and try to go make some noise from there

Sure, wasn't it three years ago when ole miss looked like they wouldn't make the sec tourney, they were screaming for the coaches head, snuck into the regional, lat one in at. Was, won it all.
Several years ago, Fresno State eked into their conference tourney, laced through the losers/elimination bracket in their conference tourney, regional, super regional and cws to win it all.

After this weekend the Aggies are 20-15/6-9. That Ol Miss team that went on to win the CWS was 21-14/5-10 after 35 games. So the Aggies have pretty much pulled even with them.

It's tempting to say the Aggies must win at least one of their next two series but the Ol Miss team we're talking about lost its next two series before turning things around. And then lost one more (to the Aggies) to finish the regular season.

Time, yes, if we win all the SEC series and sweep 1 or 2 along the way. History of 14 wins is a good 'mark', but not a guarantee depending how many SEC teams are above that mark. Personally think we'll need to either win series vs tu or pigs, plus win all the other series (and will all non conf games) to have a chance.

But, one game at a time and we'll see where the trail leads.

..The history of the world is that of religion. Violent faith, in either God or Man has shed an endless river of blood. It is not a matter of what you can live without, but which allows you the freedom to be indifferent..

I didn't know there was a tent for that. I walked through all the merchandise tents, and I asked inside the stadium before game 2 if there would be championship stuff sold, and they said NO. Anyway, after game 3, I walked straight to my car a mile away and left. Drove 16 hours straight through to get back to Houston the next afternoon at 3 p.m.

This was in the ballpark village about 2 hours before first pitch game 3. They had a table inside with the merch and I saw the 3x5 champions flag for A&M that they sold for Tennessee on fanatics after and then the basic champions tshirt and a polo for both teams. My bank account is thankful we lost

I think if we pull off the turnaround to make a regional, we will at least be in the supers.

I don't see us not winning a regional if we get in.
