Why is our pitching so bad on Friday nights? It's insane
Once again, if our defense were just adequate, the pitching would have only given up 3 runs. Sheesh!

Holy crap that was a horrible throw from LF
Almost looked like he tripped while throwing. Or he was trying to be a cricket pitcher...
I knew I had it wrong, but couldn't remember the correct word. Regardless, that's almost what it looked like with the weird hop while throwing

Good decision, unfortunate result. It happens, but Prager was rolling.
No it wasn't. You either walk out there and pull him or don't walk out there at all. Terrible, weak, not assertive and the result was predictable with 90+ pitches to that dude.
Easy for you to snipe though, so hindsight 20/20 and all.
Earley is nowhere near the level of head coach who walks out and has the ability to read a pitcher in the manner you are describing.
On top of that, Prager had given up 5 runs thru 6 and 2/3 up to that point and has been destroyed in conference play for a while.
He's at 90+, had given up almost a run per inning tonight and the coach gave it a whole half second.
Earley walked away because he was hoping Prager would finish it off to help his confidence. A real HC doesn't leave the dugout and thus shows his trust in him to get it done or he walks out and takes him out against his wishes because he knows it's best for him and the team.
This may sound like a mountain out of a molehill to some but it's another small example of why he clearly isn't the dude right now. Just bad bad bad.
It sure is easy to sound this smart in hindsight. Simple fact is if Praeger gets that changeup down is likely a groundout and everyone would be singing Earley's praise.
Ok pal. You're right. Earley has a laundry list of decisions he has made that tells us his decision to come out to the mound, mess with Prager's rhythm over 90 pitches thrown when he has not had a good game against SEC competition in a long time, including tonight, only to immediately walk away was a good choice.
And for the record. Had he not come out to the mound you would not have heard me *****ing about the decision to leave him in.
If he had pulled him and Moss had given up a bomb you sure would have been complaining
Why would I complain? Prager was gassed, gave up 5 runs thru less than 6 and we'd have had a right on right matchup. I'm not even complaining now as Moss gives up these hits.
His last two innings were his best and he just had blown through out 1 and 2 of the inning. That's why. Let's not kid ourselves.
Then you DON'T come out and **** with his mojo. Done talking about this because I assume everyone else doesn't want to keep reading it

Prager has been getting hit on routinely. I'm not sold on our pitching coach.
it's as if this is the first baseball game he's ever watched. Sounds like he comes out of his seat every ball hit in the air.AggieBB said:

Yes but few pitchers don't make mistakes. If the gloves were what they should have been there would have less opportunities for Prager to make those mistakes.austinag1997 said:Fquin said:tjack16 said:

Prager has left some pitches high over the plate.
