Wasn't a regrettable decision at all. It's one of the worst calls you will ever see at any level of baseball.

Sims (our pitcher) has a chopper hit to him that goes high in the air, and as he gloves it tags out the batter at the same time. But the original call on field was SAFE. On replay, it was clear to everyone that the player was OUT 100%. But umps say it's not reviewable.

Next pitch, they hit a 3 run HR and Earley gets livid given that the previous scenario made that happen basically. Ump then tosses him. And guess who's crew?

Earley has been cool all year.

I was at the sips series in person all 3 days. Whenever Kash got ejected game 2, that's the most pissed I've ever seen him until tonight. He was out of the dugout for 10 minutes arguing and chirping the umps. He has fire, and he's done putting up with the BS.

The rules say it has to be "in the vicinity" of the base. That plays between the bases aren't reviewable.

Again, as much as I hate Jeff, he said he wasn't in a position to see it clearly and the HP ump Jarred Moehlmann refused to discuss it. This wasn't on Jeff.

It SHOULD be reviewable and I'm sure we making that case to the SEC office today.

It comes down to Moehlmann blowing the call and being adamant he was right.

Monaco talked about Earley continually being treated as a first year head coach by umps.

If you look closely the tag was made almost simultaneously when the ball was caught, then after making the tag he reached again trying to make another tag probably just trying to be sure he got him.

I think it reasonable to say that the umpire missed the tag because it happened so quickly after the ball was caught and only saw the unsuccessful attempt to tag him again.

This is a situation that replay is supposed to be able to fix, that is the problem
