Great win, Lefty looked good both games she pitched this series, bats started picking up, and defense was pretty solid. This should be good momentum for the SEC Tournament.

Three things. 1. With the performance of Mathis it makes you wonder why she didn't at least pinch hit more this season. We have two really nice options in right field now.
2. With the addition of Mac behind the plate now this is a completely different team.
3. Does anyone know why Tennessee has the big tarps behind the outfield wall??

I think Mathis had to earn her at-bats. Think about the jump from HS ball to SEC ball. Not every freshman is ready from the start of the season. I think you're seeing a season of hard work by Mathis to get the chance to perform at the next level. She's done a great job, she earned it & made the most when she got her chance.

Mac good behind the plate. She needs work on throwing to second base.

Mathis looks great as a hitter/ Love her aggressive swings!

Koko is a great player.

Powell not swinging well. Swings are not flat. Striking out a lot.

It was a glorious finish to the regular season! Spanking Tennessee at their place with superb pitching by EK, good defense, and superb offense to take the series is memorable. Congratulations to the players and coaches! On to the SEC tourney to fine tune the mechanics for a natty run!

I think it's a hidden slam at them bc they were trying to stall so the game would not be completed and they ended up being run ruled.

So I have no issue with it.

Also their coach has shown Ford she's deserving of this.

I have no doubt Ford was fine with this and maybe even thought of it bc of whatever took place between the two coaches in their argument.

Up next we get the winner of the 7-10 game assuming 10 gets past Mizzou. That could be any one of Arkansas Florida, Miss St, LSU, USCe or Alabama. The standings are so tight with 1 game between 5-10 right now

thanks for the shout out, Hydro. I'm your Huckelberry. called the 2nd plc finish and Dements HR. Her swing plane vs Tenn's pitchers.

I had also told my wife the game would finish at 11am, so I could run her to another event in time. just now reading Texag comments. talk again closer to Thursday. oh, did anyone else notice Tori Vidales wearing maroon on SEC NOW yesterday evening?

Coach Ford has really made some great decisions on which players to start as she has been shaking up the lineup. Frankie has been solid in right field but she brings in Kelsey and Kelsey makes the best of her opportunity. She puts Mac in at catcher and moved Mya to the DP spot for more offense and that has worked well.

I also think Mac really keeps Lefty calm and focused on the mound, there seems to be a great connection between the two of them.
