Your over all point still stands but technically Clanga only run ruled Mizzou twice this weekend. The 25-7 drubbing on Thursday came via ten runs in the ninth inning.

The fact that there's even such a thing as a postseason conference tournament is already a joke. So I'm all for dumb formats for this dumb tournament. Hell, while we're at it make it MORE like MTV Rock & Jock. Have a certain section is the outfield stands be a 10 run HR. Pop up a bunt? 7 outs. Pitcher issues a 4 pitch walk? Put the runner on 3rd.

Postseason conference tourneys do nothing other than possibly reward a team that has failed all season and doesn't deserve to be rewarded. That's true in every conference, every year. Including 2025 for A&M.

Catching up after a couple of 3 days at the farm. Really nice weekend by KU sweeping West Virginia. Unfortunately because of 2 WVU game cancellations earlier in the year the Mountaineers finish percentage points ahead of the Jayhawks for the regular season conference title. KUs RPI now up to 23. You have to wonder if they can play their way into a hosting situation.

I get that. The SEC is so greedy I'm surprised they don't start a conference Only Fans and force all players to participate. Greg Sankey the pimp.

But truly, I'm curious what the conference actually makes on the tourney? And for the vast majority of the smaller conferences it has to be a money pit.

I agree about the smaller conferences. With them usually the best teams get knocked out. Look at the Southland Conference. The #6 seed HCU is playing the #8 seed UNO for the championship.
