I don't know how he really feels, or what he says behind doors, but "aw shucks gosh darnit" is NOT a healthy way for an AD to look at losing.

An AD should HATE losing with a passion, and absolutely NOT tolerate losing

I've been a big Trev proponent, and still am, for now, but this underachieving athletic department in major sports needs to end now. Losing should not be tolerated, and when it happens, needs to be dealt with

What you are saying is slightly wrong. When you state ADs want to make money that implies they are trying for the athletic dept. to show a profit which no AD ever does. ADs do try to bring in more money so the the total athletic budget is bigger. Then they get raises, they can pay for better facilities, etc.

This is who needs to be canned!!!! He can't even speak. His body language says it all with the hms and haws, head bobbing and weaving, voice sounding like a six year old that's done something wrong! Grow a pair man, stand up straight, hold your head up and speak with some confidence. I've seen high school athletes with more confidence than this. I wouldn't hire him on bet. WHO HIRED HIM??!!

He got here a year ago and in that year the Big 3 have all taken a nosedive. His most notable achievement was playing a role in running off the best baseball coach in the country (I know, Jim's a jackass, but it's true) and replacing him with his utterly inexperienced and unqualified hitting coach.

I'm sure there's people that know things I don't, but until they feel like sharing with the class, I don't see any reasons why Trev *wouldn't* be hated. It certainly looks like he was brought in to slash budgets and take the fall for it. When the donors feel like spending again, we'll fire him

At this point, push the stadium renovation back by five years, but at that time, tear the entire thing down and start over.

The stadium renovation starts after the player performance center is finished is the latest. Player performance stuff starts January 1, 2026.

He's only competing with the other guys for his next career advancement. Doesn't care one bit about athletics. Odds are next role will not be as an AD anywhere else so no need to show off a trophy case on the resume

Since 2012, when we went to the SEC...

Football (top 25 finishes): Baylor 5, A&M 4 (these are through 2022; check 23 and 24 manually)
MBB: Baylor has a title, not to mention...
WBB: Baylor has 2 titles, not to mention...
Base: (no need to look this up; A&M by a lot)
Softball: Baylor 2 WCWS, A&M 1
Volleyball: Baylor 1 semifinal and 3 (other) regional semis, A&M 2 regional semis

You can check Track, Tennis, and X-Country if you want. My guess is the results are somewhat mixed or A&M has a slight advantage. But except for baseball, Baylor either is (at worst) even, (more likely) slightly ahead, or way ahead of us in the "bigger" sports.

(And before you go SEC..., in basketball and softball, the B12 was as good or better in most/all of those years).

Yeah. Well, we have way more moral victories than bailer and that's all the really matters.

The bolded part negates everything you said after that. I'm indifferent on Trev (and pretty much all ADs) but I do know I do not want the person leading the entire athletic department out there unable to control his emotions or to show his hand when he knows anything he does is going to be reported on in 27 different ways.

As you said, you don't know how he feels or how he is behind closed doors...that's how a leader operates. He's not a head coach where showing anger and yelling is acceptable. You don't want a CEO of a company speaking to the media while being unable to control his temper or saying he's going to fire everyone because they finished the FY behind their biggest competitor. You want him to lead and then have the hard conversations in private, which is what I expect Trev is having.

I think the issue is, as a society, we want instant gratification. If we don't get what we want when we want it, then we have fits and believe nothing is happening. This is no different. We want Trev to be out there saying this past season was unacceptable and that Earley's office has already been cleaned out, but that's not how big decisions are made or how things like this are handled. You stay steady in public and work behind the scenes to make the actual changes. From what's being reported by people that follow College Baseball closely, it appears there has been plenty of work behind closed doors.

If you watched the football team last year, that was a different team than when Jimbo left (mentally and physically). Elko has done a great job in a short amount of time while here and has signed some great players to go into year 2 with. From all accounts, our NIL is strong and the program has put Jimbo's culture in the rearview.

Buzz did what Buzz does and left before he can be held accountable for not meeting expectations while doing so at the absolute worst time. We made a strong run at what many would agree is one of the best coaches in CBB before the donors at his current school stepped up and met the ask. Trev having the money and resources to go make that kind of offer to a coach like that in a short amount of time means the ball has been rolling long before Buzz announced he was leaving. Will Bucky work out? Too early to tell, but he looks to be building a decent roster from scratch.

I think everyone wants Joni gone after her disastrous season, but why blow money on her buyout and the buyout on whoever you bring in on a non-revenue generating sport? Use that money to keep Trisha Ford and continue to build a premier softball program.

it was, only problem is I'm still trying to get the **** outta the West Campus Garage

Then we should switch focus and just be a venue destination and just elim sports (as frankly they will be just pass thru revenue avenues to the 'student' minor league athlete where most haven't even developed their brain wiring).

Pick a Mexican futbol team to play some games and then have a few country or music acts to waddle thru a couple times each month. Trev would be a happy camper....cuz he could elim millions of dollars on coaches salaries too.

Hopefully if AI is going to elim most of the jobs in the 'future' and universal stipends will be needed to feed man, get ahead of the curve to start looking at proverbial AI robot football teams as all activities should feel the future repercussions of super AI's productivity (won't be any money to give to university nor NIL funds anyways).

We ain't won $h!$!!!! and we spend lots of money. I guess Trev is fixing one of those problems. Not sure Ags will ever fix the other one. 1939 last major mens title for those who want to defend the AD.
