The If Necessary game in this Regional setup is extremely taxing on pitching. You have no idea what is going to happen when you have to reach this deep.... random freshman can come in and shut the other guys down but a steady senior can come in and get rocked. Best to just avoid this game completely.
Here's a Google AI answer for you. ...I googled because I was thinking he was right at $280k.RED AG 98 said:
The entire UTSA staff makes less than $500k. Wish we could steal a few of them but I'm guessing they move en masse to a decent bump here shortly.
Going from memory on an earlier post, the HC makes like $270k, two assistants makes about $100k. Incredible.

Kyle Thebeau throwing a complete game was awesome.

Google AI:
The UTSA baseball coach, Jeff Traylor, is paid a salary of $2.8 million per year under a contract extension that extends through 2031.
Quote:
Specific salary information for UTSA baseball coaches, including Head Coach Pat Hallmark and his assistants Ryan Aguayo and Zach Butler, is not publicly disclosed in the provided sources or widely available records. However, some contextual information can be inferred from related data:Public universities like UTSA may release salary data through open records requests or state employee salary databases, but such details are not included in the provided references. For precise figures, you could contact UTSA's athletics department or submit an open records request to the university.
- Pat Hallmark: As the head coach, Hallmark signed a four-year contract extension in August 2022, set to keep him at UTSA through the 2026 season. While the exact salary is not specified, this extension followed a successful 2022 season, suggesting competitive compensation for a Division I head coach. For context, mid-major Division I baseball head coaches typically earn between $100,000 and $300,000 annually, depending on program size, success, and conference, but no precise figure is available for Hallmark.
- Assistant Coaches (Ryan Aguayo and Zach Butler): Salaries for assistant coaches are generally lower, often ranging from $40,000 to $100,000 annually in similar programs, but again, no specific figures are provided for Aguayo or Butler. Their roles as offensive and pitching coordinators, respectively, suggest they are valued for their contributions, but exact compensation remains undisclosed.

I don't think you renovate your ballpark to have it somewhere else.twk said:
So where will Duke host the super? On campus (never have hosted at that little park) or at the Bulls' park (they are on the road)? You could see that super and UNC hosting Arizona (12 miles away?).

They don't have enough seats, and possibly not even a tarp. But, we shall see, I suppose.Sean98 said:I don't think you renovate your ballpark to have it somewhere else.twk said:

Duke doesn't play any games at the Bulls park. They stopped that last year. Their renovation is finished and they've played all their home games at Coombs this year. Pretty sure it has about 2000 seated, but they also added tiered berms for extra capacity.Ghost of Bisbee said:twk said:

Good question. I've watched a game in Duke's on campus park. It is very nice, super tall trees bordering the outfield fence line, but to your point very small.
Murray state fans probably won't travel well. But I could see Duke hosting on campus and bringing in temporary bleachers to increase capacity.
At the same time, feel like Duke plays a good amount of their regular season games at the Bulls stadium.
