Have to win against top competition, that's all you're facing in SEC play. Team has to put a complete game together against ranked opponents

Deciding play of the game was 2nd inning when we had runners at 1st and 3rd with 1 out. We ran ourselves out of that and got nothing.

Now both of you with the same question. Because Munnerlyn and Lessentine are "it" girls for the rest of this season and likely the program the next 2 future seasons. And they need to be counted on for those situations. These games against high level opponents don't mean as much as our conference games.

Y'all need to relax. We have a really young team that needs to develop. These ranked opponents aren't easy wins and they've been in the game against every single one of them. Yes, they need to find ways to win, but I think the level to which the girls are playing good teams isn't all bad. There is definitely room for improvement.

BS. She is playing to win these games. It is an insult to her to pretend she is not. She went out and got Wark, Edwards, Pannell, and Allen in the transfer portal. Three of those are in their last year of eligibility. This year matters.

And Ford will look for another ace pitcher in the portal in the offseason. Who knows what the roster will look like next year. That is just the way it is with NIL and comings and goings of players.

I never suggested she isn't playing to win or that this year doesn't matter. That's what you're deciding to read. I'm saying she's going to rely heavily on the 3 pitchers in pressure situations vs high calibur teams the rest of the season and especially when we're playing top 10 teams every weekend in conference play. 3 pitchers, 2 of which are going to be here (hopefully) in 2 seasons. And I hate to burst your bubble, but unless the program gets some serious donors to provide six figure NIL deals for A&M softball, we aren't getting top tier pitchers in the portal. That's based on personal conversations I've had with TF.

I've had NIL conversations with her too. If you want I can tell you what other schools offerred on some players that we didn't land.

None of that has anything to do with today's game. We have 2 pitchers that are clearly above the others currently. There are plenty of opportunities for "development" even remaining this weekend as we have 5 games left. No pitching decision today were made because coach decided hey let's invest in the future (2-3 years down the road) instead of trying to win this game which is what your response alleged.

We have only held a lead for 1 out over the entire 28 innings (4 games) we have played this season against other top 25 teams. There is no way that stands. I predict this nightcap against Duke will see that change in a big way.
