To further elaborate on what you asked and to answer annie88's question, based on the announcers' description of the Oakland program, the school and program has a small budget and is not getting paid much to play the eight-straight SEC games,with this being their 8th and final game in the past nine days.
From what the announcers said, Oakland can only afford to drive by bus to games and cannot even afford to pay for team managers, so the coaches manage such issues as washing team uniforms, getting meals, and find motels/hotels.
Oakland lost four games last weekend at Georgia, a Wednesday game to Tennessee, and yesterday's double header to the Aggies. Oakland's first 13 games are on the road, with travel by bus.
