I knew he was trash after last year's big fat failure. Now its time to give a big fat "i told you so"

Yo, where you at?

These early-season hot takes are always funny when they blow up in the poster's face.

Earley and this team managed this weekend. But, im sure you know better and its just a mater of time before this lemon wont crank again. Don't do this to yourself

"Managed?" lol.

Showing a little humility when you've been proven wrong is actually a strength....

No one has been proven right or wrong on Earley yet, there is still a lot of season left to go. It looks a lot better than it did a few weeks ago I'll admit that though

He does seem to be in making a lot better decisions this season to me. I questioned several last year and it was not just bc we were losing. This year, there's only been one that I have disagreed with so far and he's fixed it.

Ok kids….lets not get ahead of ourselves.
Yep, great weekend, with EXTREMELY positive results.
First go round - us. But if we progress like we need/should to this season, we WILL see this team again. And that/those games will matter more than receiving some cheap, gimmicky trophy.
Let's see how Earley manages these next few road bumps.

His grade thus far - incomplete, bordering on B+/A-.

Goal posts will consistently shift for those who already have their mind made up.

This team could make a run in Omaha and there will still be some (albeit probably less) that will still think Earley is a bad coach, this team was carried solely by the players and he will be a failure for the years to come.

A lot of season left to play, but Earley has objectively got this team in a good place halfway through conference play and shown a lot of growth this year.

I don't have faith in him but a good post season run could win me back. He certainly has the team playing much better that this time last year.

The problem with "shifting goal posts" is that half the time they weren't shifted the specific situation just wasn't discussed. If I say I don't think Vandy is very good yall will say I moved the goal posts, yet I thought that before we played them. I viewed them as a series we really needed to win given their mediocrity.

Who cares what fans who have no money think?

If you're offended, perhaps being more involved in the TMF would prove you truly care about our baseball program…

RPI would agree with you. Them and Mizzou were both 100+ RPI when we played them and they're still sitting right around there. The real schedule started this weekend. Solid start, but gotta finish. RPI predicts us to only win two more series, Auburn & Ole Miss with neither predicted as a sweep.

Reviewing this thread. Over and over again the problem remains. When you are a frustrated Aggie fan (all of us at one time or another), stop posting your emotionally broken and anxiety filled rants. Just don't do it....its embarrassing for you and demoralizing to the rest of us.

Everyone is entitled to be hurt or disappointed. That goes without saying. But some people are so quick to go "scorched earth". It's just embarrassing.

Within a month of this post, the pendulum is swinging back into the 'we love Earley" mode. Its a long season, we might very well be frustrated again before the end of the season but just let things play out. Geez

In Re. RPI, LSU is certainly winnable and State is at Olsen and struggling as of late. A LOT of potential yet to be played.

My suggestion: Take a listen to Earley's interview this morning. It is worth your time. Earley is very candid and gives the outsider a very good look at the "inside" of his decisions and process as it stands after this series with tu and the future. Again, I believe it is worth the listen.

One of the ways I view coaching is player engagement and buy-in. The players have been consistent and now know they can play with any team out there.

Holy crap. I'd hope so since he currently has us sitting as consensus top 10 team. No idea if we stay that way, move up, or move down, but good grief as of today.

Last year was unacceptable for our program. If it ends up being the 1 year price we paid to reset our program and for a first time head coach to learn on the fly for future success, so be it. But anyone still beating the drum to fire him is detached from reality.

Making the post season would be OK.
Hosting a regional would be good.
A national seed would be outstanding.
Making supers would be great
A trip to Omaha would be amazing.

I'll reiterate my prediction which hasn't wavered since the beginning of the season - we host a regional but aren't a national seed and probably get bounced in the Super Regional because of pitching depth.

That being said, this staff is arguably better than the 2022 pitching staff and our offense is definitely better so we could definitely bludgeon our way to Omaha playing gorilla ball. And our offense could conceivably get us to a national seed.

Obviously, if we meet my predictions Earley will be retained but I don't think it would warrant an extension yet.

Fair enough. As long as they don't post a "Fire Early" thread when they hysterically over react to a loss. That drum has been getting beat over and over and over again. By the same posters. Gets tiresome.

This honestly feels like a team that would struggle more in a regional than a super due to the pitching depth problem you mentioned.

A lot of baseball to be played! If guys like Lyons can give us days like he did Saturday, we could turn a corner.

his first year last year and he lost 3 of his best players offensively for some or all basically. Not really fair to give him an honest assessment of year one when you consider no GG, No Sorrell and No Jace for much of the season. But to me it was more telling in the kids that wanted to be there for him.

Jace playing with the broken bone in his hand and trying to do everything he could to help us to post season.

This year we have been mostly injury free on the offense and it shows.
