Double header Saturday…
Unfortunately, major models are mixed on when rain ends Friday. One shows it moving out by 6pm, euro shows it lingering into the late night.
After reviewing I favor the euro model. I think it'll be a doubleheader Saturday.

I don't think the league would let us schedule a Sunday doubleheader if conditions are playable on Saturday. Sunday doubleheaders are seven inning games.

I'm in Huntsville (45 miles to the east), but the Fox Weather app says 100% chance on Friday. Don't think I've ever seen that before, especially 4 days out. That means we're likely to have a perfect Friday evening for baseball.

When do they typically make the call to move to a double header on Saturday?

They would probably have the Saturday ticket honored at the game scheduled closest to 2:00. If we start at 11, then the second game. If we start at 2, then the first game.
Who knows: the forecast may change enough for us to get it in Friday night. And since that game is on linear TV, they probably won't postpone it until Friday afternoon.
Hoping for favorable weather -- we are coming in from Lubbock to catch baseball & softball this weekend.

Last year similar situation. I was driving to the Fri. game when it got switched to a Sat DH. Baseball and rain are so much fun.

As a meteorologist, this was a pretty easy call days ago as far as forecasts go. Sat will just feel like a typical big game Saturday in the fall.

Is it safe to assume if you have or buy tickets for Friday and the game gets moved to a DH on Saturday your tickets are honored for that game?

Is it safe to further assume that if they DO move the game to Saturday, that it will be the night game?
That would SUCK as I also have tickets to the Savannah Bananas game.

Got it. We were planning to come in and watch the game Friday and would still go to 11 am game on Saturday if this is what happens. We have Banana tickets so couldn't make to the 6pm game if it was "Game 1". Just trying to figure out if I should pull the trigger on the Friday tickets yet. Thanks for all the responses, very helpful!
