To be alive in July 2020...with everything we have learned about the past and in more recent times...and to still laugh off conspiracy theorist as illegitimate is to have your head firmly planted in the sand.
Maybe 20 years ago the conspiracy was that the government might spy on your phone. Maybe 10 years ago the conspiracy was that the government would supply guns to drug cartels.
The government, and people in general, have and continue to do some pretty far out things. We got cults branding people with Seagram heiress money backing them. We have a pedo with his own island. We have governments injecting black people with harmful materials.
Might be time to start having a bit of skepticism about what we are told.

This is among the most logically weak arguments ever made on this topic. However, it is a typical tactic of the conspiracy theorist. They are unable to defend or even state what their actual theory is. They just frame it as "skepticism", then they use lies and out of context events from the past to justify it.
