All I really noticed was a sore arm from each of the Moderna shots.
Oh man. Sounds like you had it rougher.AgLA06 said:Tex117 said:
Got my first shot of Moderna yesterday around noon. Last night, sucked. Felt like I had the flu. Bad chills, achy, sweats, couldn't sleep.
I'm a bit better this morning. Now just light headed, feels like a low fever.
This was me after shot 1 plus 101 fever and stomach issues. It was a 2 day issue with fatigue on day 3 for me.
Everything I read is you want some reaction on shot 2 as that is a confirmation your body has immunity built up. If you have it for shot 1, you most likely had COVID or a large enough exposure to build resistance.

2nd Pfizer shot yesterday at 8a ... absolutely no side effects after the 1st shot three weeks ago - but this 2nd shot was no joke.
Started with an intense headache about noon, and by about 7p I was aching all over and couldn't lift my injected arm over my head ... took three Advil and my body aches subsided, but not the headache. Went to bed about 11p and woke up at 3:45a with a severe headache, intense body aches, fever and uncontrollable chills ... took three more Advil and was finally able to get back to sleep around 4:30a. Woke up at 5a in a soaked bed - fever broke and all the pain was gone. Feel great today, other than a severely swollen lymph node in my armpit that's really painful and uncomfortable (same arm as my shot).
My 70-year-old parents both had the Pfizer shots also, and neither one of them had any side effects to either shot, other than some localized soreness at the injection site. Crazy how this thing effects people so differently.

Mid-40s ... I've also heard Moderna is worse, but this Pfizer shot sure did lay me out pretty good. The only saving grace, I guess, is that is was short-lived.
This was my experience with Moderna #2 - a bad head cold (watery eyes and stuffy nose) for 12 hours then gone.AgLA06 said:
Second Maderna shot Monday after a bad experience on the first shot. Lots of fatigue paired with bad allergies, but not near as bad as shot one. Took a nap yesterday and slept in some today. Feeling okay this afternoon.

I couldn't lift my arm up over my head for 12 hrs and felt hungover for two days after my first shot.
Does that mean the second one won't suck? Or am I in for a wild ride?
I had Covid in December. I had a pretty strong reaction to shot #1 that started about 20 hours after I received the vaccine and lasted for 10 or so hours. I was fine the next morning.proc said:
Had Covid in mid November, it was pretty mild for me and my wife. As recently as one month ago I still had the antibodies when I donated blood.
Got shot 1 of Pfizer today, so we will see in about 3 weeks how it goes. I will be really surprised if shot 2 is anything other than feeling "off".
Since your other symptoms were pretty minor, are you sure it wasn't just the mediocre movie causing the extreme fatigue?Windy City Ag said:
All in all, a pretty easy process. I was surprised at the sudden and overwhelming nature of the fatigue. I went from totally focused to struggling to keep my head up in a 10 minute span.

2nd shot of Pfizer this afternoon. Little foggy headed 30 minutes after. Drank a diet Dr. Pepper and 2 beers and a good helping of enchiladas.
No issues

Gonna get my allergy shot and #1 Pfizer tomorrow. Wonder if the combo is good, bad, or indifferent.
No, it's fine. They just say not to because the side effects could be confused. Allergists recommend waiting a day because of this. But I've been getting allergy shots for 10+ years. I'll wait til the next day, anyway.Counterpoint said:94chem said:

I think the signup page said something about not getting any other shots within a few weeks of this one. Not sure if allergy shots count, though.
