My wife had her second yesterday. At this rate I may do everyone a favor and put her down.

Had Moderna #2 yesterday at lunch. Felt a little tired for the rest of the day and arm started to become sore around 8:00 last night.

Arm still hurts this morning, but that's the only negative effect I've experienced so far. No chills, no fever, no headache, no body aches. I feel just a little cotton-headed, but I felt that way with the first shot too.

Took 1g tylenol yesterday morning about 4 hours before the shot and 1 g last night at about 8 pm, about 7 hours after the shot. Took another gram this morning. We'll see how the rest of the day shakes out.

Edit: Started feeling a little crappy around 11:30 a.m. Muscle aches and fatigue, temperature about 1 deg above normal (98.2 F). Took another 1 g tylenol at about 12:30 and feeling pretty good right now.

No. It's mostly arm soreness and extreme fatigue. Horrible attitude from the individual is optional.

It's 23 hours after shot #2 for me. I was fine yesterday and last night. Now, having waves of somewhat minor side effects. Don't feel great, but its not terrible either. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

Wife got her moderna #2 yesterday morning and had chills and aches all night. Woke up this morning and ran fever for a bit and now seems to be trending back toward normal.

I'm due for my moderna #2 next week and am not looking forward to a day of meh

I got Pfizer with no effects other than sore shoulder on both shots. After second shot, one week ago today, I spent the whole day cleaning out a house and moving furniture.

My wife had Pfizer also. Second shot on Wednesday. Sore shoulder at injection site both times, same as me. She did feel cold late that afternoon but no chills. She's 54 and I am 59 and neither of us had COVID.

My daughter and her husband have both had dose one of Moderna. Neither had side effects other than sore shoulder. She gets injection number 2 today, he gets his next week. they are 30 and 33 and neither ever had COVID.

Daughter number two had Pfizer number one last Saturday with only a sore shoulder. No COVID for her either.

My dad age 84 had Moderna shots. Sore arm each time and six to eight hours of head ache and slight body aches after second dose. He never had COVID either.

I have had several friends receive both does of their vaccines and only one told me about any side effect. He was only able to complete a 5 mile run the next day after his first Pfizer injection instead of the 10 mile run he had planned. And even the 5 miler required some walking. He is an ultramarathoner in his 40s and never had COVID.

Got 2nd Moderna yesterday afternoon. Fever has fluctuated between 101 and 103 for most of the day today and is currently 102.4. Starting to wonder at what point I should go to the ER

Why would you go to the ER? Are you having difficulty breathing or something concerning?

Hydrate hydrate hydrate. You'll likely be totally fine tomorrow. That's a solid fever but not particularly high. An ER will most likely give you tylenol, tell you to hydrate, and send you home with a $1000 bill.

Why would you go to the ER? Does the fever come down with Tylenol and or ibuprofen?

You can also call an advice nurse or do a televisit with a doctor.

That kind of fever isn't an emergency.

I rarely get sick. This is probably the first fever I've run over 101 in 10+ years. Just found it concerning. Good to know that it isn't a big deal

If y'all have a choice pass on the Moderna
I wish I would have waited and took Phizer or JJ

day 3, finally feeling close to 100% after dose 2

Would make same recommendation especially for people not very much at risk for severe Covid. It will be a matter of weeks if not days before people are able to sign up for the others at will, not sure why anybody would get the Moderna one.

Basically slept for 24 hours but woke up today all good. Had light fever last night but broke at some point. 2 old fashioneds worked better than Tylenol for me

My wife and I had Moderna shot #1 last Tuesday. Thursday I was feeling pretty good other than my arm. Thursday night, just over 48 hours after the shot, my throat started feeling funny, then I got a very low grade temp, then every joint in my legs and feet started aching. I took a Sudafed and went to bed. Woke up Friday feeling fine. Sunday my wife started feeling off. Now she has a low grade fever and spent most of the morning in bed. We are scheduled to get shot #2 the week before our second anniversary. Not sure if we should try to push it back or not. After having last year's anniversary trip canceled I would hate to end up with both of us being sick this year and missing a vacation.

That's a long time to go between vaccination and symptoms starting (for your wife, I mean). Maybe you were actually sick and then she caught what you had? Either way, I hope you're both feeling better.

I'd recommend that she get tested.

Bad advice.

If you can get the vaccine, get it.

Rope off about 36 hours to feel a little crummy, and go on about your business.

Just got home from getting Moderna #2 - shot itself didn't hurt but my arm is already feeling like I took a punch.

My husband, both my parents and a good friend all got Moderna. Only side effect any of them had was a sore arm.

Know a few others that have gotten sick after Moderna shot #2. Actually seems about 50/50 for getting sick or not.

I've had shot #1 of Moderna. Arm was SO sore that day. No other side effects. A little worried about shot #2.

Disagree completely. Who are you to recommmend someone to suffer for a 48 hour period in order to get a vaccine slightly earlier for something that would likely equate to a minor sinus infection if they were to get it? I have friends that signed up for and got the J&J shot and were done with almost no symptoms entirely within my waiting time for the second Moderna shot.

Moderna shot 2 yesterday 10 am for the wife and I. Both of us feel fatigue and have body aches. I developed a mild headache yesterday afternoon that seems to be contained by advil on regular dose intervals. Not horrible but not fun. 34 year old.

Pfizer shot #1 for me at noon on Monday. Some arm soreness and a little fatigue and some moments of lightheadedness Monday night. Did not sleep well. Tuesday morning (yesterday) the arm was more sore than I had ever experienced for a shot. Then right about the 24 hour mark, significant fatigue, chills, and aches. I took a short nap, some Tylenol, a hot shower, and ate some tacos and felt considerably better. This morning arm soreness is 90% gone and I feel about as good as I ever do.

2nd shot of Moderna yesterday. Arm is really sore, low grade fever and body feels like I just got hit by Quentin Coryatt.

Felt worse after 2nd dose than I ever did when I had Covid back in November.

Got Moderna #2 on Monday afternoon. Nothing but a slightly sore arm, very minor headache and a little tired that evening/yesterday until after work and then WHAM... spent last night alternating between chills and burning up, joint aches and swollen lymph nodes.

Other than tired feeling close to normal today.

This is a nice graphical breakdown of symptoms by dose by manufacturer. It's not political despite the source.

Moderna #2 Tuesday at 2 p.m. - arm hurt last night, slept fine, felt like I had the flu most of the morning. Popped tylenol at 2 today and took a nap, now feeling 85% normal with just remnant aches and fever
