From what I can find there's been something fewer than 200 people in the USA get reinfected (and verified) and virtually every single one has been severely immune-compromised and/or elderly.

My good friend who wasn't interested in taking the vaccine is now taking the vaccine after I sent him the link posted.

Not necessarily. There's a large number of my peers, all educated people, who are what we've termed "waiters." Meaning we're not necessarily opposed to getting vaccinated but we want more data and history on the long-term effects. And even more so for kids before we'll consider injecting our kids with the vaccines.

Eh, I'm indifferent. If people who had half a brain they would know that places wouldn't be able to go around and say please show me your vaccination card to every single person.
What about work? I'd assume your job can know you got fully vaccinated and will ease up on PPE restrictions.
Not wearing a mask 8-10 hrs a day seems like incentive to me. I get that there are people who will never take it, but there are more that will now that the cdc guidelines changed.

Honest question, where does HIPAA come in with all of this? Go to a sporting event and have to show that you are vaccinated to take your mask off? That sounds like a direct violation

Until this over I don't see work places easing up on liability. Regardless what the cdc says. I work for a fortune 50 and ours has said as much.

Lawyers need to come up with a waiver to get away from the masks. It's possible; either the lawyers or companies just don't want to do it.

You can choose not to show, no violations at all. Not saying they should do it that way, just not HIPAA issues.

There are multiple scenarios here
B2C and B2B and corporate offices. For B2C, once signs go down nature will just take its course. Might be ugly see Twitter but it will work itself out.
B2B and corporate offices where public just doesnt enter at will it's all liability and they will ease restrictions slower. Or make their people sign a waiver. But it will be all about liability.

HEB and the like should now take the signs down. After doing so, mask will start coming off and the ones with the masks still on will be the ones stared at.

Push to get 5-10% more of adults on the fence vaccinated. No doubt. They've known all along masks were of minimal to no benefit, so it doesn't matter if some lie about it.

No, you are 100% right. This will push another 5% or over the edge. Some are dug in hard no's no matter what. We aren't talking about them. There are about 5-10% that are thinking what will change for me?

I thought about that, its just a slippery slope. There are already people that choose not to get the vaccine due to medical or religious reasons. Next comes vaccine passport to get into places.
