The top 2 lines that Dallas can roll out right now is going to be very impressive between Benn, Seguin, Spezza, Hemsky, and Nichushkin. Should also have the ability to work in Brett Ritchie kinda the same way they did big Val.
It'd be a dream to find someone to take on Gonchar's contract and resigning Dillon, Eakin and Roussel definitely needs to happen but the offense is going to be fantastic to watch this season.
Something tells me Nill isn't quite done yet and they make some sort of blue line move but either way, this FA has been a huge success already.

Fiddler signed a new 2 year contract. Always liked him and glad he's willing to accept (presumably) a 4th line position on this team.
Having been with the team for a little over a year Jim Nill has brought us back to where we want to be. I'm catching my Stars fever in July and that hasn't happened in years. Can't wait for it to be October already!

Fox Sports Southwest when the Rockets, Spurs, Mavs, Astros, Rangers, Dynamo, FC Dallas, and Ice Bats aren't on.

Some providers offer NHL Center Ice, but it can get pricey. My roommates and I split the cost when I was down there. It sometimes means getting the other team's broadcast, but at least it's something.
I won't have a tv in the dorm so I was thinking more of online streaming. I saw the Stars twitter page say they stream all games online but I don't know if that's video or just audio. I find hockey really hard to follow with just the audio
There are some not entirely legal foreign websites that should be able to help you out. Picture quality is always a crap shoot tho. More on that later when I find the address.

I recently moved out of state and have been checking out several options to watch my Stars. What I will probably go with in the fall is a Roku box and purchase the NHL Gamecenter Package. For $125 dollars I can hear every game called by Ralph and Razor. I call that a bargain! I just hope my internet can keep up!
I looked into NHL Gamecenter but I think it won't work in College Station. If you read the fine print on the website it says that you can't watch live games of the team in your market. Even though just about every team in Texas is given priority over the Stars on FSN, College Station is still considered part of the market and is subject to blackout from the Stars on Gamecenter. I think I would be able to watch the games with the opposing teams broadcast but I'm not sure and don't feel like spending the money to find out.

A slingbox is a device that you connect to a satellite/cable box at your home, and it allows you to access that TV feed from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. So you can basically log on to the slingbox from your place in CS and take control of a cable/satellite box at your parents house and watch whatever that TV is watching. You can change channels, etc. But it's best to have it connected to a dedicated/rarely used box in the house, as you don't want to get into a fight with someone at the house who is watching TV.

Got the deal done with Roussel. 4 years/8 million. 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 over time. Glad they got it done, I think everyone likes what he brings to the team.

I'm with you. I'm excited. My son's birthday is this week and his brand new Tyler Seguin jersey just came in the mail. I plan to go to the open practices here in Fort Worth in September. If the thread isn't started by then, I may have to do it myself.
I'm hoping to make the Fort Worth camp days as well but sounds like good timing for a new thread. I will be looking forward to it.
As the brutal month of August draws to a close it appears our Stars thread has officially died. Before the 2014-15 thread begins I would like to leave y'all with a parting video to pump you up for the next season. Not the best music but definitely the best quality out there
