Another disappointment for the Aggies. Brea Garrett finished 8th in the shot and scored 1 point. She fouled 3 of her throws. Remember she fouled all three of her throws in the hammer throw and ended up in last position. Clearly she is having a lot of problems with he technique this outdoor season

Sophomores Kendall Munoz & Krystyn Bradley and junior Jena Hemann finished 8th, 9, and 11th in the javelin for 1 point.
Junior Ashley Chamberlain 28th in 1500m prelims and did not qualify for finals
Freshman Cameron Villarreal 15th in 1500m prelims. Failed to qualify for finals by less than 1 sec.
Senior Wayne Davis II ran the fastest time in the 110mH prelims and qualified for finals.
Junior Kenneth Minkah 12th in the 110mH prelims and did not qualify for finals.

The disappointment saga continues. Olabanji Asekun fouled his first two jumps in the long jump and only managed a 7.46m in his final jump and finished 10th and does make the final. Loss of big pints. Arkansas men is 1st, 2nd and 3rd after the preliminary round

Usually for Arkansas, Florida, or the Aggies to win these meets, they have to perform at least somewhat better than expected. Those who don't, don't win.

Women: Junior Kamaria Brown [3rd best time], freshman Shamier Little [6th ], and senior Ibukun Mayungbe [7th] qualified for finals in 400m. Shamier has done well for the Aggies this year. Excellent freshman.

Brittany Wooten out of the Pole Vault in 10th place. Loss of points again. Our field athletes are doing horrible today. I really don't know what is going on.

Carlyle Roudette runs 46.27. It looks like 3 Aggies into the finals so far

Taplin beat Hugh Graham of Florida who was projected to finish third in the 400m behind Lendore and Florida’s Arman Hall. Wow!!! See if can do this in the finals.

Poor field performances could be contributed to cold and windy weather. However, the weather is the same for all contestants so must be something else.

Do the announcers not know that Bailey had a broken foot. You can tell he has not had his training.

Aldrich Bailey runs 47.12. I don't know if this is good enough for regionals. It sad to see a great athletes season end this way.

What about our chances now against Florida in the 4x400? Their time is nearly 3 secs better than ours is this year without Taplin. That is a huge time difference.

Right now, 47.12 would be 43rd in the West Regional so probably will not qualify two weeks from now.

There are meets next weekend for him to try and improve his time.

Just check the performance list for the 400m in the West Regionals. A 47.12 by Aldrich Bailey will put him in 42nd position. I guess by the end of this championship weekend he may not be in the top 48.

The relays team should be much better with Taplin and Bailey especially for Nationals with more practice

Olabanji Asekun is in fact in 7th place in the finals. There was a mistake on his one of his jumps earlier. He has a 7.55m into the 4th round. Four Aggie women into the women 100m finals

Arman Hall of Florida did not run the 400m race. Wonder what happened? He had the second best pre-meet time.

I have had a prescription problem I have been working on so have been away from the action. At least we are doing well in some areas.

Arkansas 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the long jump for 24 points. Aggies 8th with 1 point.
Armani Hall did not run in the 400m in heat 4. Not sure if he got injured running the 200m. He didn't make the 200m finals running a 21.12 in the prelims

Hall not running is good news for the Ags.

Today was beautiful with a high in the mid 80's

30 degree difference. Bet the Ags wish the meet had Aggieland weather.

Not near as many Ags following the SEC meet this year on Texags compared to last year.
