Under what set of rules would that have been a goal? At best it would have been a hand pass.

And yes, I know it wouldn't have been a hand pass there, as it hit an opponent, but the best result he could have hoped for was a hand pass, as you can't punch the puck to score a goal.

This will be my first meaningful game (non exhibition) in a visiting barn. I'm excited to see what the atmosphere will be like.

A buddy of mine went to a game in St. Louis while in the area. He said he it was one of the coolest things he's ever done and he now roots for the Blues when they aren't playing Dallas

Oh man! The game was awesome! I went with my cousin. We got there an hour early so we could walk around a bit and go down to the glass for the warm-ups. I took a ton of great pictures! (I don't have any image hosting accounts, otherwise I would slap a few of them up) I have watched numerous warm-ups up close over the years, but it is still a surreal experience to be that close to the players you watch on TV all the time.

As the players were bombing the net a few pucks would ride up the glass and under the protective netting. People would scramble for them. On an attempt by Benn a puck landed near us and I snagged it! I don't know if it was intentional, but I like to think it was . I mean, the dude is a sniper!

Most of the players didn't pay us much mind (Rooster might have even looked a little annoyed when we were banging on the glass ) but Klingberg gave us a smile and shot not one, but two pucks against the glass right where we were standing!

We of course belted out "Stars"! during the anthem...

Obviously the results were a surprise. During the intermissions I saw a few other Stars fans and we asked each other what team we were watching! Most of the Blues fans didn't pay us any mind or gave us some good-natured ribbing. There was only really one jerk. After Benn finished the hatty and me and my cousin were celebrating a guy from a few rows up said "Yeah, well you're still in last place." I turned around and told him to just let us enjoy it.

tl;dr - Overall a fantastic experience!

I was so excited for the Stars this year and they've really sucked the life out of me. I know there's still plenty of time left on the season and anything can happen, but I've just accepted we aren't making the playoffs.
