This is strange less than two weeks before the trial!! I hope he puts something together by then!! But it was blatantly obvious he lined up at the ASICS 100 meter dash and had a horrific false start with probably no intention of actually running… all this after he tweeted last month that the next time he lines up for the 100 the world record is his… I like Fred but he has to back up his talk and I hope he does

It is a brave new world if college athletes can sign shoe contracts and still run for their college. Will Adidas get miffed if an Aggie is running in different shoes?

Lots of Aggies to root for tonight. Really hoping that both Scott and Schulman make the 110 h finals. Another sub-13.2 gets Scott thru easily; Schulman will need to shave a fraction off his PB. I expect a whole of times in the 13.3's. A 13.30 should just squeeze him in.

In my opinion the NIL was created for and best fit athletes in sports like track where there isn't nearly as much earning opportunity for them post college. Also should allow them to run in pro meets and not lose eligibility.

3 Arkansas female distance runners enter the portal! All 3 were in their top 7 runners, 2 of the top 5 finishers at regionals! Nyah Hernandez, Mary Ellen Eudaly… it is evident that Arkansas is losing its luster in the distance world with new head coach Chris Johnson focusing on sprints! I think next year we can compete with Arkansas on the women's side!!

International students cannot do NIL the same way domestic students can. It's not as simple as breaking the bank in the same way.

that's huge for some of those kids who need the money. Our steeplechase guy Victor from Kenya is trying to find a summer job to help himself out. He's an. SEC championship runner, but not eligible for NIL possibly according to this article.

Really sad we lost Lianna Davidson, I thought she loved it here we literally helped elevate her into the 4th best collegiate javelin thrower in ncaa history… I wonder what happened there! Arkansas and Florida have taken some of our top girls, that's now back to back to back years where another sec foe takes one of our top girls, Tyra Gittens, Laila Owens, Sanu Jallow, Lianna Davidson

We took him to dinner with our son after they qualified for Nationals in Arkansas, he fought thru injury to qualify & win that SEC gold.
We should amplify this & help him find a summer job. If we had a store in BCS, would hire him in an instant.
Amazing young man with an incredible story to make it to Aggieland.

Same here, if I owned anything in the area he'd be on payroll 365/24/7! I know the city of Bryan Parks and Rec has a youth summer track program where many Aggie athletes have helped out! I know Caden Norris and Chico's kids were there coaching children last year
