Here's a another interesting one that I think makes more sense for us from a personnel perspective; Tage Thompson. Big, physical C/RW who's right handed and could desperately use a change of scenery (Buffalo is terrible as well). I think his contract is super palatable too from a AAV perspective at 7.142M. I think this almost makes TOO much sense in some ways, I just don't know what the cost would be. He's has stretches of being an elite elite player, but then also stretches where he's been underwhelming. Could you get him for someone like Lybu and Capo/Koly, maybe Bourque and a future first?

Idk how the money would work from a long term perspective, especially considering Robo is about to get 10+ at minimum.

Let's talk about this stuff after the Olympics and before the trade deadline. It's obvious we need to keep our depth since we have the injury bug this season but I doubt we go after anyone with a long contract since Seguin will be back next season at some point and I definitely want to keep Robo.
