Overall, The Wire is a better piece of work but both shows are absolutely outstanding and I fault no one who feels that BB>The Wire.

Ive watched 1 episode and like 15 minutes of the next one since breaking bad ended, and Im having trouble getting into it too. I realize I havent really given it a chance yet, but part of me just wants to start breaking bad over.

Although I dont think there's anyway you would allow yourself to even consider it might be better than BB.

They're both fantastic. I get that people are going to compare them, but they are the two best things I've ever seen on television. No use in trying to crown a champion.

That's how I felt after Lost ended, but BB topped it.

You really don't realize how amazing The Wire is for the first time until late Season 3. Those that watched this show one week at a time, kudos.

What a ****ing show.

Breaking bad is my all time favorite, with The Wire as my very close, no competition number 2. two totally different shows, and both amazing in their own ways. I was hooked on both of them within the first 5 minutes of their pilot episodes.

season 3 of the wire, and season 4 of breaking bad are my favorite seasons of any shows I've ever seen, and I couldn't tell you which is my favorite bc they are both masterpieces. season 5 of breaking bad, and season 4 of the wire are not far behind.
