Saw the movie. Pretty good, but definitely not great. This is in the running to be my least favorite of everything he's done.

Enjoyed the movie, agree that it is good but not quite great. I put it on around the same level as Death Proof on my personal list of QT's films, though I should say that I really enjoyed Death Proof, probably a lot more than most.
This is probably the first movie of his that I did feel the length a little bit, but not till around 2 hours in.

How did it compare to D'Jango Unchained?
Nowhere near as good as Django, imo.
Just saw it in 70 mm. I really enjoyed the cinematography and the scenery. 70mm is worth it in my opinion if you can make it. Jennifer Jason Leigh stole the show. I agree it being good, but not great. Still a hell of a lot of fun though.
Tarantino needs to be beaten to a pulp, call the cops, and no one show up to help him.

Seeing it in 70mm tomorrow, what should I expect from that, I'm excited to see what it looks like
I thought it was entertaining but nothing great. Definitely dragged at times. Easily could have cut 30-45 minutes and not lost anything.
I think the 70mm version has around 15 extra minutes of footage. All the panoramas etc went pretty long to show off a bit.
This is probably a strange comparison, but I thought the acting and format reminded me of glengarry glen ross a bit.
I think this movie could translate to the stage pretty easily.

Sounds like a scotch.
I disagree with the "good not great" crowd, but to each his own. I thought the movie was fantastic. Old school western who-dunnit with all of Tarantino's usual excessive tendencies. Thought it had a better story overall and was a step up from Django.

Saw it this afternoon and really enjoyed it.
One thing that bothered me was that it felt like Tim Roth's character was written for Christoph Waltz. They even made him look almost exactly like Waltz from Django.
Oddly he says he always had Tim in mind. But maybe that became his story after he couldn't get Waltz.
Really enjoyed it. I don't know if it will be my favorite of QT's movies, just due to the length, but that was fun.
This movie is all dialogue. Very much like a play. I love listening to QT's dialogue in his movies, so this was a treat.

The Mannix character reminded me of Taggart from Blazing Saddles several times too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of seeing it in a full theater without knowing anything going in. Outstanding experience. Having said that I'll probably never watch it again
Giving this another shot in the theater. Watched it at home the first time. I think it's the extended version, too.
