If we figure 3-4 characters per film from most of the movies and the bigger series I can see the math working.

Off the top of my head you can grab several from each of Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Thor, Doctor Strange, Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Guardians, Captain Marvel/Ms Marvel, Captain America/Falcon/Winter Soldier, plus the original Avengers who are still around. That's probably 50ish at least.

Honestly, there are a ton of small time characters that could be brought back...Darcy, the kid from IM3, Jasper Sitwell...could easily get to 66 once you start including those

I've been seeing a lot of stuff on Twitter about RDJ potentially returning to play Doctor Doom. There is no way they would try that right? I love RDJ, but this doesn't make much sense to have an alternate reality Tony Stark become Doom.

I absolutely don't want to see RDJ return to the MCU in any form or fashion. No matter the role. It would cheapen his death as Iron Man. People just need to move the **** on. Appreciate the perfection that we had in RDJ as Iron Man and leave it alone. The people who want him back in the MCU are likely the same morons who want a second season of Shogun after the perfection of Season 1.

Exactly.

We've had a nice, long, much-needed break.

The last movie was all the way back in November with The Marvels.

The last series was in January which Echo.

More than eight months between movies, and heck, even six months between Echo and now, has to be the longest gap in the MCU in more than a decade. Which, again, we really needed, and I'm now more than ready to get this new era started.

That kicks off next week with not only Deadpool & Wolverine, but the big MCU panel at Comic-Con a week from today.

How long between the last Spider-Man in 2019 and Black Widow in 2021? The latter was delayed by the WuFlu if I recall. Otherwise I believe the longest gap was between The Avengers and Iron Man 3, a full year.

No kidding. Alot of that content will be considered non-canon IMO, and I guess they effectively gave themselves an out clause via the multi-verse to be able to proclaim the same thing, if need be.
