It's a very real, very specific issue, set in our reality, just after Kennedy had been shot. So it's going to be super weird if this is an alternate reality, but one that's damn near identical to ours, where Kennedy was also shot and LBJ becomes President. At that point it's just, like, what's the point of the multiverse if we're not going to have fun with it and do things that are way different than our own reality?

The FF cartoon photo was officially created/shared by Marvel. IMO, its a very intentional image with multiple "Easter eggs"...
