So, yeah... reactions seem to be all over the place. To the point where I might wait for digital/streaming. I'm traveling all weekend, but have an IMAX ticket for Thursday, so I guess I'll see how I feel then. If I still haven't packed, though, and/or don't feel like squeezing the movie in before I leave, I don't know that I'll make an effort to see it in theaters next week when I'm back. I'm sure it'll play better in a theater, but considering the multiple Disney+ comments, it also feels like the perfect movie to knock out at home right before seeing the much-better-looking Thunderbolts in theaters to kick off the summer.

My biggest fear was that Ford was going to be bored and mail it in here. If you'd have told me Ford was locked in and they nailed the chemistry between the leads, I would have said they did the hard part and the movie would be a success. So I guess I'm actually more interested than I was before the reviews.

Thank you for the reviews. Very happy to see the two leads are Mackie and Ramirez, that Onah is finally getting high-profile opportunities, Lumbly and Roquemore have decent roles, and we get to see Esposito.

Would have really preferred an actor such as Morgan Freeman in the role of Ross, reprising his turns as a national leader we've seen in Deep Impact, Angel Has Fallen, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen.

Well those reviews seem to cover the entire range of suck to awesome.

Regardless, I was always going to see a new Captain America movie (Mackie's recent comment notwithstanding). Probably going Saturday morning, but I have yet to get tickets.

Appreciate the review posts. Honestly, I think they make me more excited to see it. I haven't been overly excited about this one and the trailers didn't blow me away, so maybe it's an expectations thing. I would never expect it to be universally adored, but I like the commentary. The positives seem good (obviously) but even the negatives are nothing terrible that you wouldn't expect from most decent MCU movies. So I'm taking all of these in the aggregate as pretty positive.

Definitely mixed but sounds like it should be at least an entertaining popcorn watch.

I think it's just pure coincidence. Because the character of Valentina had the white streak in the comics way back when. It's just crazy with the timing, the similar roles, etc, that's all.

Occam's Razor: this is a blatant political "never let an opportunity go to waste moment". Looks to be coincidental with the hair streak but they clearly played up Margo to look as much like Tulsi as possible because they were handed an opportunity to do so.
