1. Did Schwartzman's character indirectly instruct the nurse to kill his father or is she just psycho and did it on her own? After watching the second episode I think it's the latter but not sure if he pretty much told her to when they were in the pharmacy room.
I thought at first. But I think it's clear now, that she's just a completely nuts serial killer who killed someone else. He didnt even remember who she was initially, when they ran into each other later. And I dont think Chris Rock instructed her. The timeline wouldnt add up...especially since it was a freak accident that took him to the hospital, and I dont think he knew the old man was there yet.
I like the story so far. It's weird and quirky...like most the Fargo stories are. I like the power struggle between the factions....with the random chaos thrown in (jail-break sisters, funeral home family, narrating daughter, crazy killer lady).
I wasnt crazy about some of the forced racial stereotypes (esp during the prologue). Seemed a little over the top, and shoehorned in.
At the end, the crazy murderer lady baked a pie with ipecac. So whomever eats it, is going to get sick. But the family will know who did it to them (she told the girl she was going to make her a pie). I'm curious where they're going with that. It makes me wonder if that pie ends up getting eaten by someone else, and plays a role in the plot taking a turn.
I had a hard time taking Chris Rock seriously at first. But he's doing well in the role, and is making me forget it's Chris Rock.
