Same for me, not quite Get Out level, but still pretty good. Wish there was a bit more explanation at the end, but certainly took the left turn I expected after Get Out.

Well that was something else entirely than what I expected.

I am not gonna lie, I was expecting something like the twist ending since I saw a comment several months ago about Adelaide being out of sync during the car song and out of beat. Still didn't stop it from being terrifying and enjoyable along the way. Was expecting their family and at most one other family of clones, not all of ****ing America. Some weird metaphysical stuff like Get Out that I wasn't expecting with the clones and souls and being Tethered together like that.

The horror/invasion home stuff was one point and got some good screams out of my audience. Probably won't have the impact of Get Out but damn did I have fun time.

Seeing it Saturday. This gets me pretty psyched.

This is a film of the Why is more important than the How. I will admit I sat there at the ending with a wtf and not in a good way. As I have read up a little more and processed it I am appreciating it more. It is a powerful piece and masterfully shot. And lupita was awesome but some of it fell a little flat and I think a lot of reviewers are quickly forgetting Toni Collete In last years hereditary which felt more real. But part of Lupitas performance is with this clone so that is part of it as well as it isn't human or normal reaction.

I will say the kids also did a fantastic job with their doppelgngers and Winston was the only one who didn't get much to chew with as his doppelgnger which was more of a muscleman. Winston Though was that adorkable dad figure that made ****ty puns and the like.

Also the funhouse changing from an Indian (feather) to Merlin 20 years later might just be the most damning comment about American society in either this film or Get Out

Toni Collette got robbed.

Hereditary was my favorite film last year

I thought it was pretty good.

Lupita's performance and the cinematography was worth the price of admission alone. Plot not as strong as get out though.

Go see it. I loved get out and really enjoyed this. I would say there is a good chance if you liked get out you will appreciate t his film

Just got out seeing it in a packed theater. I thought it was just ok. Nothing special.

Just saw it. Thought it was great. On par with Get Out for me but a lot more to unpack.

A whole lot was happening in the movie. I felt like I may have had to rewatch the movie, but after reading articles I actually appreciate the concept/movie a lot more. So in retrospect it was a pretty good movie. And no I will not be watching it again.
