I finally went and saw it. It was good but not as good as I had hoped. Overall, it kept me entertained for a couple of hours.

I agree with poster above who said that the entire underground clone explanation would have been better served if the explanation tried to be less realistic. It would even be better if the Reds were shadow people/animal souls/id of people tied to their ego/superego on the surface. Trying to "reality" it is where the explanation suffered if you really poked at it, IMO

I still liked the movie, my overall opinion hasn't changed. Flawed but good.

Yeah, I agree. Just rented it and can't believe the RT score. The set up was very good, but after 30 minutes it just became another random zombie movie. By the time the "shocking" twist happened, I was so bored I didn't care. C-

Just caught this on HBO Now. I wish I had read this thread first (except for that last page about race) because I just wasted 2 hours. This movie was dumb. Peele has to be the most overrated director working.

Watched this one over the weekend. I really did enjoy it, but it's the kind of movie that starts to lose its luster once you actually start to think about it. Like it would have been fine if there were just a few clones, or if it was some "miracle of creation" or mirror universe deal to explain how everyone had an evil twin. But government clones for every single person in America, all confined to what is basically a high school hallway? I don't know. Had Peele left it more vague and not tried to explain everything, it might have worked better.

My favorite part of the movie by far was Tim Heidecker, and you could tell he was having the time of his life playing his own evil clone.

Yes, I am 4 years behind on this movie that in now on Netflix.

Movie started well but ended as an unexplainable mess.

Nothing is really explained although I think it was interesting that the original Addy doesn't kill anyone (as far as I remember) but orchestrated the entire tethered uprising.

Where did they get all those scissors?...no clue. Where does the family go from here...no clue? I think the movie would have been better if the original Addy was trying to swap back vs the uprising
