Good, fun movie with lots of laughs. I didn't realize it is pg 13 and the enemies may have scared my 5 y/o son. The closing scene is hilarious. First post credit scene is odd. Second scene was funny.

Really enjoyed the movie. You see the director's horror experience with the Sins. It got pretty cheesy at the end, and the Superman reveal at the end made my theater go nuts.

Best superhero movie I've seen since Infinity War.

Just saw it with my son. We loved it. Lots of fun, corny at times. Our theater was full and a couple of scenes got a rousing applause.

The soundtrack is great in this movie. My Name Is, as well as the Kendrick Lamar song, is not in the movie

Plot spoilers

They did show Black Adam, even though it was a hologram. He was the guy who released the Sins in the first place.

Hopefully the next Shazam movie will be Superman and Shazam vs Black Adam, but it'll probably be Mr Mind and the Monster Society of Evil. Damn these Golden Age villains.

I don't know much about Shazam, but it seemed like I kept seeing a chair or large violin that was on fire. I thought it might be alluding to something in the comics or whatever. kinda like when they panned by the worm in the glass.

There are some very dark themes in the movie, especially in the first few minutes. Also, the villain is fueled by the 7 deadly sins who come to life and might be scary to a 9 year old. One of them--I assume gluttony--bit a guy's head off.

I have now seen both Captain Marvel and Shazam. I found it curious that in both movies, neither hero was ever called Captain Marvel. Any thoughts on why?
