I want to like this, but I'm having a hard time. Jimmy is the only character I like. It's too soap opera, too much conscious product placement and cross promotion, and it's having an uncomfortable dalliance with various political topics. I'm about one episode from dropping out.

What was amazing about that scene was it seemed to be saying "look what Columbus destroyed" yet they were showing relaying and riding horses, which weren't part of the culture until horses were brought over after Columbus. It was an absolutely horrific line that should have been cut once they filmed it and saw how awkward it was.
That being said, I took it more as a "there's more to the history of this country than the pilgrims and Europeans discovering it" type of statement. Which is fine and right.

Hard to believe the self anointed entertainment board czar has not popped in to chastise you all for 'injecting' politics into what is just simple entertainment.
Was getting tired of it but last episode brought me back in. A lot of stuff going on that has to be sorted out.

Of all the ridiculous things on the show, someone being bothered by "too many black ranch hands" is fantastic.
Not gonna lie......has always bothered me there was like only a single black guy in the Aggie locker room scene from Best Little ***** House. If you know it's far-fetched, it affects the believability of all those things you know nothing about.BMX Bandit said:

Last night was the only episode I've ever watched, and I turned it on a few minutes after starting. I've been told I need to start at the first season and watch every one.
Question though, why did Costner want to hide the crime scene last night? Two thugs ambush innocent people, boyfriend comes to rescue.

I thought last weeks episode jumped the shark a little and started losing me. This weeks brought it back in.

Malcolm alluded to it earlier when he was talking with Beth. No one to run and cry to.
Wow. I was thinking this season was starting to drag but this last episode busted it wide open. I was disappointed that there was no preview of the next episode.

I didn't watch last season. I eventually gave in after S2 E3 with all the hype. I figured I'd start watching season 1 as season 2 progress and I would catch up with season 2 just as it was ending. Wrong. I binge watched season 1 in about 3 nights and was caught up by S2 E4. Boy that was some great binge watching not having to wait a week. Now.... sad face.
Despite all the cheesiness I've loved this show, but 'bout damn time the real Taylor Sheridan showed up.
I was expecting the kid to name his horse "Columbus."
