Just finished the last episode of Yellowstone. I know I was down on it early however this thing has turned into a gem. This has to be the best show on TV. The character development, the writing, the acting, the music....this thing is great.

The Beck brothers are crazy...however do not mess with the Dutton's...they will kill your ass. And again Rip is one bad mofo. Simple recipe-sex, killing and ranching...

When I finished this episode, I went right back in and watched it again.

Ho. Lee. Chit. Rip on the rapist so hard he can't even get it up. Beth Dutton just makes this show. She's a savage.

I was wondering the same thing. I know he turned on his family with that story but that dialogue last night about killing anyone that ever lives him was beyond that.

Also, I thought it was weird how they went out of their way not to show the driver of the suburban that killed the security guard. I am not sure that was done by the Beck brothers.

*Was he responsible for their mom's death on the horse?

Which son stayed with the Mom as she died? She sent Beth and said something like you killed me. The kid stood up to the wolves with a knife so I didn't think Jamie. He's a puss

Jamie and Lee were back with John working calves. Beth and Kasey went on the ride with Mom. When the horse fell and broke the moms back, Kasey wanted to go for John. She said no and made Beth go "to fix the problem she created." Kasey stayed with the mom and had the knife and was going to fend off the wolves

This is what I think as well. Lee, Casey, Beth all looked similar. Jamie doesn't at all.

The "you're my brother" line had a double meaning when Casey said it to Jamie. 1) he'll always forgive him because they're brothers and 2) Casey trying to tell him he's a Dutton and a true brother even if they don't have the same dad and stop having insecurities about that.


Edit: or it could be in reverse. John is his dad but it wasn't his mom.

It felt to me that they are trying to set Jamie up for a redemption storyline and I will guess he saves Casey's son from the Beck's. Maybe dying in the process.

Season had a couple of slow spots, but the last 2 episodes have been fantastic. Could have kept the hot little ranch hand around a little longer, weird how she just left...

Also, i don't really like it when they milk something that every character knows this long. It's sort of cheap suspense. But... the last two episodes have been fantastic. I was pretty close to canceling the recording before, but I'm all the way back in. Still not a huge fan of Casey's wife, but I can fast forward through her scenes.

She is my least favorite character in every episode. She does nothing but whine about the Ranch or point out how people stole her family's land hundreds of years ago.

Her character is suffering from what Beth's was earlier in the season.

If they follow the same path, she'll be a central character to the climax of the season and it'll likely be her accepting herself as a Dutton by doing something ruthless or sacrificial to protect her son as the previews keep alluding to Tate being the target

The old ranch hand and Jimmy story line has been really surprising. The previews allude to the conclusion of that story and it looks satisfying.

Juxtapose Jimmy's struggle with his old life vs new life to Kasey's wife struggle between the Indian world and the ranch life and it just makes her story line that much more frustrating. The character development differences between those two (tier 2) characters is what throws me off. Jimmy feels like a fully developed character while she feels very 2 dimensional to me. I understand Jimmy's motivations and I understand what her motivations are supposed to be, but one feels natural and the other contrived or forced.

Have seen this theory a lot and definitely think there is something to it. I believe in Season 1 there is a picture (Maybe in Beth's room?) of 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl. At the time I assumed Casey was adopted or something, but this season has me believing that Jamie is illegitimate somehow, either not John or not the mom's or something like that. Would explain why John couldn't say he really loved him.

To me it doesn't really explain why Beth hates him so much though. I could see resentment towards him for being accepted into the family while Beth feels like she has to work so hard for love. But I wonder if there is something to her getting super emotional watching Rip with Tate, and then immediately finding Jamie to berate him. Could she have been pregnant with Rip's kid at one point and Jamie did something, maybe told John who had her get rid of it? That all seems super extreme, but so is her hatred for him. I need an explanation for it.

Jimmy's dad asked them to take Jimmy in and keep him out of trouble in the 1st or 2nd episode.

Lee is the oldest and is from a prior relationship.

It was JImmy's grandpa that ask John for the favor and helping him out.

You didn't want to fast forward through her coming to bed in this last episode. Just damn... dropped that skirt and went to bed in that tight tshirt and underwear. What a smoke show

Re: the rape scene.....

What is the show's explanation for this incident being reported to the officials or not? I never saw any cops show up, only Casey and John and others. What is the explanation publicly supposed to be exactly. I felt that was odd that it didn't show up on the local news or something. What is the explanation for Beth's assistant dude who was murdered?

This and the Asian couple that fell off the cliff last season kind of jumped the shark and bothers me a bit.
