Director confirmed that that's the real Nick Fury at the funeral in Endgame.

But I thought the real Nick Fury was the friends we made along the way.

I really think that it was him up until endgame. I doubt he would've handed the pager off to anyone.

During the 5 years after the snap, Black widow is in constant communication with Rocket and Marvel, who are out in space. Fury could've jumped in to whatever Marvel was working on after endgame. He's always on the lookout for the next big threat.

Fury being in space to look out for a Thanos-level threat would be perfect. Also, he recently said that if his character ever gets killed, he hopes it's in space.

Maybe he'll be back in Captain Marvel 2 and get killed.

Edit: not that I want him to be killed off, but he's getting very old and will have to bow out sooner or later. He hasn't had a ton to do since Winter Soldier, except for CM, where he was silly and bad at fight scenes. Avengers 1 and Winter Soldier will have to be our peak Fury films.

Heh, so Tony had this super sophisticated drone army in orbit, and didn't deploy it against the Chitauri in endgame?
It's just a plot hole that will happen over the course of 22 movies. Kinda like how Captain America went from being a war criminal to leading group therapy.
I don't see that as a plot hole at all. 1/2 the population disappeared. I doubt anyone cared about the Accords.

yeah, they were probably more concerned about looting and martial law.

would have been awesome to have gotten one more season of the Defenders to take place during the 5 year break.

No Spiderman movie has ever done 900M. Only 39 movies have ever hit 1B. This seems unrealistic.

So basically, this is it for MCU Spider-Man.

Did you guys not read the article? It's all but guaranteed to cross a billion. There's nothing to worry about here, IF this is even accurate, as it sounds somewhat dubious.

Also, does anyone here really believe that Marvel would somehow let the character go right as they're literally positioning him to take over for Iron Man and lead the franchise?

I hear what you're saying, but if there was even a sliver of a chance of Sony taking back Spider-Man, Marvel wouldn't be propping him up the way they are, especially considering the magnitude in which Marvel plans. I would bet almost anything that Sony/Marvel have already worked out whatever future plans they have together and the deal just hasn't been announced yet.

You would think because the original deal was 6 movies (3 spider man's & 3 other appearances). He's done Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame, Homecoming, & Far From Home so that would leave just his final in the trilogy.

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to sh*t on you posting it or anything. It's a legit source and obviously worth considering if true.

Yup, I'm sure this deal has been signed for a while. Not that it might not have existed as stated, but no way they'd be going all in on Spidey like they have if it wasn't a sure thing.

Speaking of the third movie (and final movie of the original Sony deal), sticking with the "Home" moniker, any guesses at the title? And do we think the title will be announced at Comic-Con, or just a date for the "untitled Spider-Man sequel"?

Throwing out random "Home" phrases...

Spider-Man: Bring It On Home

Spider-Man: Can't Go Home Again

Spider-Man: Go Hard or Go Home

Spider-Man: Home Again

Spider-Man: Home Away from Home

Spider-Man: Home Free

Spider-Man: Home Front

Spider-Man: Homey Don't Play That

Spider-Man: Homeslice

Spider-Man: Home Stretch

Spider-Man: No Place Like Home

Spider-Ham: Bring Home the Bacon

I actually really like this. Brings things a bit more back to your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man as we (potentially) meet Norman Osborne to take us into the next phase (if rumors are true), and gives a fun Wizard of Oz theme to play off.

Related, apparently the director has publicly said he'd like to see Kraven as the next Spidey villain.

Oooh, yeah, I like the way it ties to the Wizard of Oz / Norman "Oz"born vibe. Good call.
