He then pulled out an amp and guitar and played us a rendition of Jambi which was an insane experience. We later then went into the stadium (by ourselves, doors still closed) and let us watch them warm up and sound check. We got to pick a song (46 and 2) and they played it for us (minus vocals of course). They also then played Third Eye (with Maynard) which they also played during the show (which is a rarity). Definitely was worth the ticket.johnnyblaze36 said:
For any B/CS locals, I went into the Proudest Monkey on Wednesday and saw a flyer next door at Grand Stafford for a TOOL tribute band that will be playing August 27th with a Pantera tribute band opening.

ETA: Saw TOOL in Vegas back in January. It was an incredible experience. It just bugs me that they don't play a ton of their best/my favorite songs. I almost feel like it's intentional, and just Maynard being Maynard. They have so many phenomenal tracks that for whatever reason are just shelved. "H", for one, being my favorite. How they don't play that song anymore is beyond my comprehension.
