Awesome and ironic: The Tool website is so slammed with people trying to buy VIP experiences, potential customers caused an unintentional DDoS on the site.

I just couldn't justify spending $1000 on two tickets..I'm trying to pay my house off!

I highly doubt I'll get in on Friday to buy tickets because I've always had pretty crummy luck trying to buy whenever everyone else is. However, I did get floor seats in Corpus once.

With Maynard being 55, opportunities to see them again become less so I will spend more (but not $500/ticket).

Good lord this album. I couldn't imagine performing these songs live since each one is 10+ minutes. 7empest is truly art, 15 minutes of pure musical heaven. Also the ending guitar solo in the last 1:30 of Pneuma is like musical drugs.

Just noticed this is on Spotify. I thought Tool was against streaming. When did they turn to the dark side?

About a month ago. They released their music online in preparation for the album release. Maynard actually announced it while he was on Joe Rogan's podcast and basically it seemed like they finally realized as a band they had no good reason why it shouldn't be on streaming services.

They added their library to all the streaming services last month. Then last week for Fear Inoculum.

This is a great album. I am not a huge fan of the drum production. The bass is also mixed pretty weak for how prominent it is in Tool's music, and overall the music just sounds a tad bit empty to me because of the incredibly dry mix. But production aside, it is a great album.

Pneuma is definitely the standout of the album IMO. That's a really powerful and well written song. Invincible and Descending are both great, as is the title track. I find 7empest lacks some cohesion, but it's still a pleasure to listen to just because of the variety of riffs and the 21/16 time signature. The only song I could take or leave is Culling Voices. I enjoy listening to it for what it is, but it just doesn't go anywhere.

10,000 Days will forever be my favorite album because of the pure perfection that is Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned/Intension/Right in Two. I'd put Fear Inoculum a notch above Aenima and a notch below Lateralus. I don't know that I am wholly satisfied with it after waiting 13 years, but it's still phenomenal.

Do you see actually being able to be fully satisfied after such a long hiatus (not be condescending, truly asking)?

I feel this album is what they have been working towards since the beginning. I've never gotten tired of a Tool song, but Pneuma will be able to stand head and shoulders above the rest and give me chills every time. I'm finally leaning towards upgrading the sound system in my truck because that's where I typically have the best time listening to music.

Due to demand they're selling more special edition CDs on their website today only if anyone wasn't able to get one the first time around.

don't get me wrong, I'm glad I got this "special" CD package but the video is kinda meh honestly. The booklet is kinda neato I guess.

If I hadn't have ordered it for free (via leftover amazon gift card), I'd probably be wanting it badly. If I saw a friend's copy, I'd probably be happy with the digital copy.

I also got chase to refund my toolarmy membership since the claim of presale tickets was completely bogus. We'll see if I can get tickets tomorrow.

Glad I got the special edition cd. I'll support Tool any which way I can. Favorite band by a long shot

I just started listening this morning on the ride in to work. I haven't made it past Pneuma which I re-listened to 5 times so far. At this rate it may take me a few days to finish the album.

Agree with others, Pneuma and 7empest are both great.

But Invincible has quickly risen to the top for me -- few different sections of the song that really hit all of my favorite Tool characteristic sounds. Cool lyrics also regarding the once dominant, fearless warrior now coming to terms with his mortality and age.

I will be reselling if Astros are in Game 5 of World Series though

I had a laptop and phone open. Ended up getting in via laptop and snagged 4 in the 400 level which is fine by me.

Had a panic moment when the AXS system would not let me edit an expired card but pulled the trigger with a backup credit card.

After sitting through this new (to me) Ticketmaster wait queue, finally saw the tickets that were available. The seats I'm willing to spend that amount of money on were all gone. Not gonna overpay for **** seats. Logged out. Will pick up the day of show on resale site when someone unloads their extras or 'unforeseen circumstance' offers.

Good thing about tickets starting out so high face value, not much room for resale tickets to double in price. Feel good about my odds. Just wish I would have known about the TM bull**** queue, would've tried to join a lot earlier. I'm used to logging on right at sale time and furiously refreshing, dropping tickets to try and snag better seat.

I pulled up the queue on my laptop last night and a couple hours early on my phone this morning and by the time I got in on either it was completely sold out

Tool concert and Astros WS game 5 same time potentially

For someone that didn't get tickets and wants 4 nosebleeds, I would sell at cost to you if Astros are playing

Easily got four in SA.

Side note: Since tickets are sent to phone, how will resell work? Seems like TM guarded against that possibility.

My wife and I were purchasing tickets at the same time, and she got three is section 122, Row 23, Seats 3-5. I did get better seats, so I just want to sell these at face value of $547 ($182 per).

If there are problems with the mobile tickets, we can go in together. I'm not trying to make a dime, just recoup the money.

You can email me at howdyag2004@yahoo.com.

These are flashseats, and I've easily transferred those before so I hope it's the same.

Sorry, for the Houston Show.

Got a nosebleed seat for Houston, but that's what I wanted. Tool is a bucket list show, as I've never seen them live, but not paying $200 a ticket. $80 is fine for me.

I had no trouble getting them. Had to constantly refresh but I was able to grab a seat 3-4 times and took the best one. Of course it was just a single so easier to find.

Denver sold out in 20 minutes. Second show just added.

Too bad that's my kid's bday. Guess I'm not going to this unless I find a near face value near day of show.

I talk to him when I am lonesome like; and I am sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that. ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth

So, I've had some time to really digest this....Wow, this is some good s*it. Pneuma is mindblowing.

I think this is going to get better and better with each listen.

Adam Jones seems to have really elevated his game and Danny Carey is...well, Danny Carey....incredible.

Right there with ya. I wasn't sure about it on first listen, but it is right up there with anything they've done IMO.

It's caused me to think quite a bit about Adam Jones place among the great guitar players. I think he's unfairly kept off a lot of lists because he is not a soloist in the traditional sense and he never tries to cram 100 notes in a measure.

But along the same lines as Tom Morrello, which ironically were childhood friends, he provides a sound for that band that I'm not sure anyone else could replicate. Very underrated guitarist/musician.
