I was gonna come on here and say lucky number slevin. I remember someone making me watch it and I was really not interested at all to see it. I was hooked from the first scene.

Road to Perdition

It doubled its $80M budget and even managed to win an Oscar for Best Cinematography but this is one of those films that is rarely talked about. Maybe it's because Tom Hanks and Paul Newman have such great filmographies that this one gets overlooked.

Breaking Away.
94% on RT. 91% on Metacritic.
Won an academy award and was nominated for 4 others including best picture.
One of the best sports movies of all time.

People of a certain age know this film, but for the most part it's been forgotten which is mind-blowing.

Brick by Rian Johnson.

Put away your Last Jedi hate and watch this, it stars a young Joseph Gordon Levitt in what I can best describe as a film noir murder mystery set in high school. The dialogue leans a bit detective/gumshoe, and the movie totally shouldn't work but it does and it's sooo good.
