Bernie (with Jack Black)

Especially good for any native of Texas. Be prepared to laugh.

better off dead, enemy at the gates, grosse pointe blank are awesome but i would not have called them unheralded.

heres one likely to blow some minds. recent movie, russian movie, dubbed in english:

t-34

caught it on amazon prime.

despite my opinion that patton was right about the soviets, and i can never really view them as protagonists, it was an enjoyable movie.

Between the movie itself and clips posted on various sites, I've seen that scene probably 50 times over the years and the transition he makes from The Panhandle back to Carthage never fails to make me howl....just so much of an afterthought.

I love the scene when he's telling the truck driver he has a sure thing and the driver is like 'I've never had a sure thing!' Then floors it

Local Hero

Man, I am so glad someone else loves Local Hero. It's been a long time but I've seen it probably 20 times.

Also would add The Descendants and Hell or High Water

Primer - a film made by a couple of guys with a $7,000 budget. It has a time travel element in it and is surprisingly good and confusing as hell on first viewing.

First viewing? It took me three and I'm still not so sure. But a wonderful movie to experience, no doubt.

Don't judge me but Good Burger is a film I have watched 5 or 6 times with my kids and it never gets old, it never fails to make me laugh. For a low budget goofy kids comedy it is one of my favorites. I am disappointed the sequel never came to fruition.
