I too thought Ben was alive. Still think he might be honestly.
Then whose body was that in the back of the car at the morgue?

Not sure..just seems weird we didn't see anything. The murder, the body, etc. feels like there's a reason

Let's face it, Navarro would've killed that entire family long ago.

No way. It's known that Marty is the best at this. He's untouchable because of that.

Even if they found someone is good, imagine the turnover of knowledge and documents that would be needed. And imagine doing it with Marty dead. Impossible.

Yeah so was Helen. No one is untouchable

Helen was nothing but an asset or project manager. Easy replaceable. Much more easily replaced than a specialist running the show. Same applies to my work. Project managers get kicked off projects way before department heads and lead engineers.

I enjoyed season 2 more than season 1, and 3 more than 2. It's a ridiculous show for sure, but it's a lot of fun. I agree with previous sentiments that season 3 didn't feel like it progressed the overall story. I thought that Ben was largely unnecessary, even though I thought the actor was great. I did feel in the last couple episodes that his purpose in the season might have been to get Wendy back on track with the family, because she was off the rails. The Navarro cartel vs Lagunas cartel just felt like weak story telling, very easy for random things to put on camera, but not progressing the story itself. And dealing with another erratic FBI agent, lazy. Though I still really enjoyed it, season 3 was just a circle, take everything that happened and they're still more or less where the season started...just with a couple less characters.

The only way the overall story is going to push forward is for the family to start making plays to get out. Otherwise it's just going to be the Byrds and their issues with Navarro and Darlene and the Langmores. Wendy's aspirations might have been curbed, but they are on dangerous ground, she and Marty have to work through their issues and find common ground. The only way that truly happens is if she's ready to get out, he's been ready.

7/10 is about right.

At the beginning of the season, when I saw the FBI agent was pregnant, I thought for sure something bad was going to come of that...

Incredible show. One of the best of the best. 5 episodes in. My only complaint is how quickly they can drive from the Ozarks to Kentucky. Same with Chicago too.

You didn't hear? They hired a Game of Thrones writer.

So, I'm five episodes in. I enjoy it. I am entertained. But it's slipping. Needs to be smarter. Like this crap with the Panamanian account. Oh noes, the feds locked my access to this account. Navarro is going to be pissed! Hey Marty, I'm locked out of this account! No problem <spends 20 seconds pecking the keyboard> booyah! You're back in cabron! Dumb.

Dumber still. I don't care how much f'ing money Navarro has, he aint flying his badass private jet in and out of US territory with impunity. That is just dumb. The USAF would take particular offense I can assure you. And even if it was possible (which it's not) drug bosses avoid US soil like the plague.

And then I'm supposed to believe that Navarro's IT guys are so freakin advanced that they can detect spyware on Wendy's phone during a call and instantly trace it back through whichever wireless network she is on to Marty's laptop and know it's Marty? Uh no. That is CIA/NSA level sh**.

Fun show. Superb acting. Great characters and writing. But sacrificing too much reality.

I finished last night and agree with what most are saying about Ben. A few things that drove me crazy are him having a phone to even make a call with and then being able to buy a burner as fast as one buys a slurpee. Add in the drone was able to go as fast as the damn car with a battery that never dies.

It's entertaining, but man does the shortcuts make it a sloppy show, puts it way behind a Breaking Bad or The Wire, closer to a Sons of Anarchy (not that bad).

Also, although the kids likely find out about Ben at some point, I don't think they just tell them he's dead right away. Tell them he's in hiding in Knoxville or wherever and let them figure it out in a year or so.

The season definitely came around for me.

Felt bad for Wendy and her situation with her brother.

Wyatt banging the old lady felt a bit weird and out of no where.

I would have preferred Wendy get the bullet over Helen.

when he was in the jail cell and crying for her to save him that was sad as s h i t.

put yourself in her shoes.

that scene was sad.

Ben was a really great acting job. that scene where he was in the back of the cab going full manic? that was really freakin good

I must be a real a-hole. All I was thinking was, maybe you shouldn't have acted like a complete loon at the party right after getting in trouble for assaulting a random guy at a bar, now enjoy your just deserts.

It did feel a bit forced there at the end. Sure he had some signs of bipolar throughout the season, but to go from pretty self regulated to complete bat **** crazy over and over. He would get apologetic but then go right back to being crazy. Doesn't seem like the swings were as realistic there at the end.

That's exactly how those people are though off their meds. Takes about a week and they absolutely lose their minds. This show has faults but the way he was portrayed was very accurate.

Oh I agree. I said I felt bad for Wendy then. That was brutal. Unfortunately I find her a smarmy a-hole the rest of the time. I generally think Marty has the smart approach to things.

But he had been off meds awhile hadn't he? He went off them when him and Ruth first started getting busy, and Wendy yelled at Ruth that she was with him for only a few months. So I would think he would have been off them for quite some time.

Maybe it takes that long to get out of the system, I don't know.

You got cartel type money and you buy cheap ass vodka to drink straight out of a solo cup? Come on Wendy, you are white trash bred, but at least get some quality vodka. Yet another reason to hate her.

Yeah I just made a heart wrenching decision and now I am going to go to a liquor store and choose between various high priced bottles rather than str8 off the shelf

you're showing how ridiculous it is to nitpick at some of the plot stuff like people are doing on this thread, right?

Good show, good season.

Just finished Season 3. Agree with most comments. Felt like it kind of ended where it began, except for Helen is no longer in the picture. Still get skittish watching Wyatt and Darlene.

In case you didn't know, this season's production designer is an Aggie.

How did it end where it began? Did y'all watch the season?

Marty has lost his most valuable asset in running day to day operations (Ruth), his "investors" are positioning to be his biggest opposition (Darlene, KC Mob, Congressman), his son is on the verge of going absolutely crazy and now he's in even DEEPER with the Cartel.

Maybe y'all are wanting a House of Cards (after S2) type leap episode to episode, i.e. Wendy running for office or some *****

Still not sure why anyone would go reading threads about a Netflix season if they haven't watched all episodes. If they see spoilers, it's their fault.

Everybody else is marking their spoilers. I guess they are being more careful in an attempt to not be A-holes.

Not marking spoilers on a Netflix show thread is the least a-hole thing I can possibly think of.
