Missed the first round, but I'm in for the rest of the way!

These movies came out at the perfect time for me, last 3 years of high school. I'm re-reading the books right now, almost done with FOTR. Interesting to remember how many differences there are, and overall what a great job Peter Jackson did with these.

Don't know if I can pick a favorite of the 3 movies, but if I had to rank them I'd probably go 1 ROTK because it completes the series, wraps everything up, and has some of the most epic battle scenes. 2 TTT because of everything to do with Rohan, and 3 FOTR because it starts the story so well and has the best plot lines.

Sam's speech is probably the most impactful. Boromir's death is the saddest for me. Battle of Helm's Deep is the best battle scene. Frodo and Sam going through Mordor is chilling.

Side note, after watching 1917, you can totally understand how much of Tolkien's experiences in WW1 made it into LOTR. Watching the two soldiers in 1917 make their way across no man's land feels exactly like the dead marshes, Mordor, etc.

I think I chose more low seeds to win in this round than high seeds.

The toughest vote for me was Sam carrying Frodo vs Boromir fighting off the Uruk-Hai to save Merry and PIppin. Ugh.

I went with the first, because that is THE moment of Sam's heroism, but I hate voting against Boromir.

Just want to give a shoutout to a moment not in the bracket ---

End of FOTR, when Frodo is looking over the river and hear's Gandalf's voice in a flashback, climbs in the boat, and Sam jumps in after him.

I don't know if you can consider that a single moment, but that's easily a top 5 for me.

"Bridge of Khazad Dum", when Gandalf falls in the pit, is perfection.
