If James T. Kirk and Han god d-mn Solo can be re-cast, so can Wolverine.

I think there is 0% chance that it's Hugh Jackman/Wolverine. What is the angle for remotely tying him to this show?

Since the X-Men don't exist yet in the MCU (that we know of) Wolverine is still a lone wolf (or maybe in Alpha Flight which would be awesome). Would he just happen to be walking by in the countryside of NJ, see the Hex, light a cigar, and mosy on over to see what happened?

It's obviously Rocket and Groot.

Ok, but the reference to cosmic radiation tends to make me think of him.

Then again the reference to the devil in episode 2 brings to mind Mephisto.

Quicksilver opens the door to Magneto.

Could go in a number of ways I guess.

Interesting theory I just saw on Twitter...

The big surprise isn't an MCU or X-Men character.

It's a famous sitcom character instead.

I think the cosmic radiation was just a reference to the big bang, which created the stones, which gave wanda her powers. At the point in the show when it was mentioned, they still had no idea what was going on or who was involved. It was after that when Darcy found the signal.

They started with an homage to the Dick Van Dyke show. I wonder what the chance is they finish with a scene for him?

He was apparently a consultant on the show, so that's a distinct possibility. That said, the vast majority of viewers would probably have no idea who he was, so I don't know if that would count as being being on the level of Luke.

"Creating" a herald is a stretch on the creation angle, especially when comparing to creating the hex in Wandavision. His herald(s) existed before they were his heralds, he just passes on his power cosmic to them.

He brings balance through consumption

Well unless they broke him out of the slammer it won't be Cosby. And Henry Winkler would need a massive makeover to even look like The Fonz. Those would be the two of the most iconic sitcom characters in the last 50 years. Carrol O'Connor passed away long ago and Rosie O'Donnel is pretty toxic. I can't see it being Homer Simpson.

Russo brothers directed episodes of Arrested Development, including the pilot. The famous sitcom character will be Michael Bluth.

He is old enough he could have been the right age for Magneto in WW2....

but we all know it will be Betty White feuding with Ryan Reynolds Deadpool.
It will be Betty White spooning with Deadpool.

I would bet that hardly anyone watching this under 25 or 30 has any idea who Dick Van Dyke is. Given that's they're target audience, Marvel likely isn't going to pin a massive cameo on a guy who was famous in the '50s.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang defined my childhood!

Ok, it was a movie I liked in spite of the child catcher - one of the most disturbing children's characters ever.

Agreed. Half my millennial team at work had never seen Star Wars. They sure as hell don't know who Dick Van Dyke is.

No, Marvel hasn't officially announced anything. But both Olsen and Bettany have said a massive cameo is coming.

TV legends people under 30 might know:

anyone from full house
Will Smith and/or Carlton
Tim Allen
Urkel
Anyone from saved by the bell
Ted Danson, he's been on recent shows
Anyone from seinfeld
George Clooney (ER)
Buffy/Angel cast
Friends cast
Jason Bateman
Michael j Fox
Drew carey
Kevin James
Ray romano
The office cast (que Jim halpert/Reed Richards rumors)
Betty white

2000s on might be too recent, I threw the office in there bc Halpert is a fan fav. If you think about it, they skipped the 90's, they went from family ties to Malcom in the middle. Maybe there's something to that and they pull someone from that Era.
