Watched it last night while wrapping up some work.

No spoilers. The plot is predictable, but the action sequences carry it forward well. It does have a 90s action movie feel, and that's a good thing. I recommend it.

It's like a step up from the SyFY version of Starship Troopers, if that makes sense. Watched the first half or so on my flight this morning and it's pretty dumb so far. Or, rather, just super vanilla. Feels like your typical streaming blockbuster, complete with cookie cutter character dynamics, super generic music score, etc. That said, it's not at all bad, and it's actually decently funny at times. But yes, overall, very much a Starship Troopers vibe, except set in future Earth, and not nearly as memorable.

Speaking of future Earth, do they ever explain why the tech and cars and buildings and what not 30 years from now all look *exactly* like they do in 2021? So far, there's absolutely nothing futuristic about the future, which just adds to the cheap feel of the whole thing.

Lol, they just kind of ignore the whole future thing. Like let's just ignore that humans developed time travel. This movie is so stupid it makes my brain hurt.

I thought it was good if you're just wanting to be entertained. Wife and I were definitely able to predict most of it except for the first twist/surprise. There were a lot of different interesting routes they could've taken, so I kept waiting to see if there would be a big twist down the road. Had some decent humor peppered throughout too.

Watched it this evening with my teenage daughter. Entertaining, but VERY predictable. Enjoyed it for what it's worth. Weird thing is that it kind of felt like it had 2 endings. I won't post spoilers, but it reached a climax at one point, which was mostly resolved (movie maybe could have ended there), but then it kept going for another 45 minutes.

Alien design was cool. Mix of Quiet Place, Starship Troopers, Independence Day, maybe something else.

I don't know if my expectations were lower because it was straight to streaming but it was one of the better StS I've seen as far as action movies.

Predictable but would haven't been bad to watch in theater.

Just finished it, and I thought it was a lot of fun. Agree with the '90s action flick vibe. I feel like entertainment takes itself too serious sometimes, so this was more enjoyable for me.

Decent flick to kill a few hours. Cheesy at times, good CGI here and bad CGI there, funny in parts, and very predictable. Still entertaining if you can take it for what it is.

Holy god the end monologue made me laugh out loud so cheesy.

Watchable? Yes and entertaining enough I guess.

How nice must it be to be Amazon and flush 200 million in the toilet.

Movie is a decent action flick but it pains me that projects like these get those types of funds with so many fantasy or sci fi series waiting to be made.

It was fine. Go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed. Sure it's lacking in plenty of areas, but it's fine for what it is. On The Rewatchables they've talked about movies that got greenlit based on the title before they had a story, it certainly feels like one of those films. If they wanted to make a movie about fighting aliens in the future with something to say about the futility of war they could have optioned The Forever War. I'd gladly fire it up again before watching WW84 or The Snyder Cut a second time.

Really was a lot of fun. Richard Splett and the volcano kid were hilarious.

Never got why they wouldn't all just evacuate the humans from the future to the past and then just prepare for the future invasion.

It amazes me how critical people can be for what is just a simple action flick. I think it speaks more to the lack of content coming out of Hollywood more than anything else.
