I said last year I found it odd Nikki Glaser hadn't hosted.

It seems odd they waited this long, since she kind of blew up last year, but makes total sense as a pick.

Never heard of Olvia Dean. Cute girl, music was boring as could be.

Trump opening was terrible and I look forward to it (as a Trump supporter).

Love Glenn Powell but this sucked. Turned it off after the pathetic weekend update.

The monologue was awesome and a really cool moment. The song about guy missing his ex's dad was pretty spot on for me and pretty funny, and the new guy has a great voice. I took my ex-wife's dad to a doctor's appointment because he can't see so well anymore and she was floored.


I will agree that a lot of the show that I watched was lackluster. They don't seem to have much of a strategy for the cold open anymore except to roll James out there to riff as Trump. he's still funny, but it seems like it's almost a standup routine at this point.

Definitely better than many cast members they've had in recent years. I can think of several people off hand who were just terrible and shouldn't have stuck around as long as they did and a handful of current folks who are hopefully on short time, especially Jane Wickline.

Bowen ended up growing on me. I thought he was terrible when he first showed up, and now I think he's decent. Not a huge loss, but probably one of their better cast members right now. I think the biggest issue is that the cast right now is pretty bad overall. Losing Bowen is going to seem worse because everyone is pretty weak.
