I really enjoyed last night's episode for a lot of different reasons, the #1 one being a total 180 by me on Rocksroy after watching him embrace the solitude and the responsibility of being out on the island alone. Guy has some real perspective on life and where he is in his that was really refreshing.

Once Jonathan was at risk of getting voted off I realized how much I'm rooting for him. Every Thursday morning I find myself showing the rest of my family how dominant he is in the challenges. Jumping up on top of the boulder after how much effort he had put into rolling it was maybe the most impressive part of the day for him.

The scoring update is below. You got a +5 bonus for anyone who made the merge on your squad and anyone with Chanelle, Drea, Mike, Omar, Rocksroy, Romeo, or Tori gets a +5 for winning individual immunity. I realize those people didn't win the challenge, but Rocksroy's decision on the island made it so that they had II for the tribal council, so they get the credit.

Secondly on the pick'em. As per previous years, if you've had one or more people voted off, you can pick someone new - as long as they are the same gender as the person voted off. You will only get half-credit for their points going forward, but it keeps it competitive. Just make sure to make your replacement picks before the next episode starts next Wednesday.

Thanks everyone - just got back from Disney and was pleasantly surprised to see everyone had updated. Was sweating Hercules was getting voted out, but figured they with how the episode focused so much on him they were just trying to make the audience think he was going home.

Well after making it all the way to the merge with a team of 4 unscathed, Aye Davanita takes their first ding, along with Rhutton125 as Chanelle goes home last night in what I thought was another really fun episode.

Yours truly got 2.5 points for Reboot Tori winning a second straight immunity challenge. They should have got her out earlier, because apparently she's that girl that can balance and stay still for an eternity, and you know there will be at least one more of those later in the game.

After watching Jonathan in the reward challenge, I think - assuming it wouldn't break his leg - he might have just gotten a running start and jumped from the taller platform to the lower one without even swimming, his jump/dive took him 3/4ths of the way there.
He's reminding me of the episode of The Simpsons where they are playing youth football and Nelson is the only good player on the team so he winds up throwing a long touchdown pass to himself to win the game.

Blows my mind that they aren't trying to get him out, although I guess he's so affable that a lot of them are just drawn to it and not even thinking about. A guy his size balancing on that tiny beam for so long should be like a red warning light going off in your head.

Very interesting tribal tonight after a disappointing challenge. It was frustrating they agreed to settle it there, then allowed SitD as it wasn't in the dark at all. As a vocal "Survivor is too woke", I can still appreciate Maryanne being forthright and owning her flip any get the why behind it.

So, um, who are the white people on the tribe that voted out Rocksroy and made Andrea feel like she was being oppressed?

Christ, what a train wreck that was to watch. Kudos to Jonathan for standing up that BS talk and not letting them put the white guilt on him. And once you get past the garbage, if you're Jonathan, LIndsay, or one of the dudes on the other tribe, you're probably 2 steps closer to laughing your way to $1 million because those idiots decided to take a stand and play their idols. The only thing better than flushing an idol is having the person who has it flush it themselves.

It won't happen in a million years, but it would be great if at the reunion, they showed Drea and Maryanne realizing that Rocksroy didn't get voted out because hes' black, but rather because he's a moron who had no clue what he was doing out there.

If you have Drea, she just screwed you out of a few points she could have won by using the idol to save herself.

You forgot to add points for Hai immunity for Aye and Tabasco.

What I don't understand is that at the end of this game you will be voting for someone to win Survivor based on the quality of the game they played. Not by the color of the skin. Voting people out is very similar. You are not voting people out because of who they are as a person but because of the type of game/strategy/alliances they have made while playing this game. The inability of some players to compartmentalize the game against real life society confuses me. Some may call that ability privilege but whatever.

In regard to Hai and Romeo I think the beef is because outside of that bonding convo neither of them has talked strategy with the other. Romeo also realizes that Hai has to be the puppet master at all times and the best thing for Romeo's game is to make Hai's alliance doubt the stability of him. When they see how unhinged he gets when things don't go his way they are more likely to flip and blindside Hai. Which is what Romeo needs to stay in this game.

Drea and Maryanne did use their idols, maybe not in the traditional way but they were seen as immuned which is why Lindsay and Tori were seen as the only two choices to go home.

I really want the next episode to start with Jonathan declaring the need for an all-white alliance.

What would have happened if both Lindsay and Tori successfully played their shot in the darks? Everyone would have been immune.

Well if I understand it correctly each player who rolls has a 1/6 chance of obtaining safety regardless of who rolled before them.
