I am convinced now more than ever that either Romeo or Maryanne will be in the Final 4. And it sucks because they both are PITIFUL players. (At least from what we see on the edit)

Maryanne practically did not exist in that episode.

And other than finding 2 idols she is just a vote.

The preview made it look like MaryAnne might wake up and play harder next episode. I think she's shaping up to have a pretty decent arc if she plays with good strategy in the latter part of the game. She is def receiving an edit that would fit with someone who goes far.

She honestly might turn into this season's Erica.

I think that's her game. From a strategy side be low key and surprise people because how low key her general demeanor is. That's why I took her this season, and I really think she's got a shot to win it all.

It could make for a jury-friendly storyline if they've seen her evolve from annoying kid to Survivor legend. She'll just either 1) need to show that with a big move or two down the stretch, or 2) be credited for a great social game that we don't really get to see with this edit, like Erika did.

I still think it's Omar and Lindsey in the lead, but in theory, if Omar Lindsey and Jonathan go, and you're looking at a Mike / Maryanne / Romeo final, then Maryanne could easily win. And maybe she should, if she is integral in knocking off Omar, Lindsey and Jonathan.

Also, the way this season is going, I'd expect people of color on the jury to vote for people of color at the end.

Do you really think Drea would vote for Jonathan at the end even if he had been the very best player?

Bravo for Maryanne - I don't know if it's enough to put her in the top slot but she's certainly in contention. And she convinced two guys who were in "live to fight another day" mode to call a bluff and blindside Omar.

Lindsey got caught overthinking - who knows of an idol doesn't re-enter circulation if it isn't used. Who wants to play that game? Maybe it was a calculated risk in case Omar got blindsided, which isn't a worst case scenario for her? But I think she just got too fixed on Jonathan.

This is exactly what Mary Anne needed to happen. This is 100% her move and a big one by taking out the biggest player in the game and blindsided him by pulling in Romeo with her to vote him out. I get Lindsay not using the idol to save Omar unless she absolutely knew for a fact that he was leaving. An idol could get put back in circulation this late if Heroes Healers and Hustlers are any indication but I think since her idol was an expiring one, it wouldn't get thrown back in after this week. Mary Anne's idol could have if she used it last night. I don't think she sees Jonathan as a threat to win but he is the only thing that is stopping her from making a run in immunity wins. I think without Jonathan there, she is a huge favorite to win the rest of the immunity challenges. If Mary Anne can get Lindsay out, she could be locked in. She might be in the top spot now though. It's close imo

Lindsay is obsessed with getting Jonathon out and with good reason. With an immunity Idol and the ability to beat Jonathon in challenges, I believe she is the front runner as long as she stays steady.

Obviously, finding a new Immunity Idol and winning next weeks Immunity Challenge are critical and will dictate the game.

I think Lindsay and Jonathon are the best players left after Omar got blindsided but doubt either can win the final.

At this point, I almost want Romeo to make it to final 3 just to hear how he would try to spin why he deserves to win. I think there is a good chance for this to happen because at this point they are going after biggest threats to win.

So I won't talk out my edit edge talk but there are some things that we didn't see on the show that seems like something we could've known. Omar had an idol nullifier he was planning to use in the next vote and it seems like Lindsay knew about it. I do still get Lindsay not wanting to use the idol on Omar unless she was 100% sure she needed to. I feel like it would most likely be seen more of a plus for Omar than Lindsay unless she is able to get him out before the final three. I guess along with another idol being put into circulation, they just didn't see Romeo not voting with them since Mike and Jonathan were voting for him. According to Omar in his interview, Jonathan was with him when he found it and then he told Mike which is why they were trying to blindside him. Even though he didn't use it, I still think the editors should have put it in one of the episodes but I guess they have their reasons. I think if Lindsay survives to the final three, it's hers to lose. Otherwise I think Mary Anne can win it. She already had the social aspect down and getting out Omar and Lindsay should pretty much wrap it up for her. Mike has a slight chance especially if he can get Lindsay and Mary Anne out next. I don't see how Jonathan can win at this point, since all he has done is win comps and didn't really show much in the strategy or the social aspect when it comes to listen to other tribemate's ideas (which were usually right). Romeo is an obvious goat. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Feeling pretty good about my picks now.

Maryanne is going to win this because Mike is not very smart.

No doubt. It's going to be unanimous.

So I was off by one vote.

Not bad! Better ending and edit than S41. Don't underestimate the little women in this new survivor.

Romeo got robbed.

Horrible decision by a bitter jury. When you put it all together Romeo played the most well rounded game. I'm shocked the jury let emotion get in the way of their vote instead of logic.

I would have voted:

1. Romeo
2. Mike
3. Maryanne

Romeo took down the biggest challenge beast of the game in the Final Immunity thus giving him the power of how the final Tribal Council would go.

Who would have thought that Romeo could beat Jonathan in the biggest challenge of them all? If Jonathan wins then he most likely wins Season 42.

The bump on the log strategy worked because it got Romeo to the end. Bigger threats were constantly getting voted off until he was one of the final three left standing.

The bitter jury didn't want to give Romeo his just due because they felt they were better than him.

You could tell that many of them felt he was a scrawny, weakling unworthy of the title of Survivor so instead of tipping their cap to him and admitting they got outsmarted............................ they shut him out of the vote....same crap that went down with Russell Hanz.
