Another solid episode. Nothing too crazy until the end.

Great news! There's so much story to tell there, so I'm glad it's not just a one-off like 1883 was.GreasenUSA said:‘1923’ Renewed For Second Season By Paramount+ https://t.co/1wT3NIa6Ap

Even in 1920, sailing up the east african coast could expect some traffic towards the suez i would expect.
Was it clear that it was a ghost ship and not one under power? If it was the same ship then it is a little odd.

The Indian school scenes were horrifying, as usual.
true, also - when the old guy died, did he keep the boat on course? if he didnt it could have just circled back into the abandoned ship. currents can certainly be weird too.TXAG 05 said:cbr said:

If it was occupied, I would think they would have been blowing their horn to get the attention of the tug boat.
yeah, when a supposed man of god steps up to act like a man of violence to a bunch of women, he needs to get what's coming.AgE2theBONE said:
I hope that priest gets karma'd to hell and back, and I hope it's the Indians who make sure he gets got.
As others have mentioned, the Indian School scenes are tough to watch. Just brutal.
I knew there was a reason the captain told the story about piloting the WW1 hospital ship and having the ghost ship "follow" him for three days. Turns out that's what happened here.TXAG 05 said:Anti-taxxer said:

They saw that first ship pretty soon after leaving. They had been going for a full day before the captain died. There is no way they drifted all the way back in a couple hours.
It was interesting watching the scene where Teonna asks the guy she meets if she should run away to Canada and he says that "Canada is worse". In recent years Canada has had a reckoning with their past when it comes to Indian Schools; they've been unearthing mass graves and have been trying to identify remains of children who died in the care of the schools. The numbers are in the tens of thousands across the country. Pretty heartbreaking stuff.Charpie said:
The Indian School stuff is sickening.
No. I have read that some tribes have made some "specious" claims, but records show that thousands of children died during Canada's Indian School era. Surely disease was the overwhelming factor but this show isn't pulling the storyline out of thin air.Scotty Appleton said:
Hasn't that mass grave story been unverified (if not debunked) at this point?

Excellent, because at the rate Spencer is going, it's going to be 1953 before he makes it back to Montana.

They might cross paths with Podraig as he rows and rows and rows his boat in GOT.
