I like this season for the fact they are focusing less on the staff and more on the actual guests and their interactions. Sure there is a story line but no one hates the manager…
an interesting thing to think about is that the actual cast members are in the same 7 hour "movie" but yet most of them never see or work with each other..

it's like the Woody Allen movies of different tangents of characters with several story lines going in parallel.

it must be weird to only see your 'costars' on the first day of shooting on the boat going to Sicily

and then never see them again

So….was the picture Tanya found in the bedroom one that verified who the cowboy was and how it related to everything?

Yes, that was her husband Greg in the picture. Presumably they're getting her to cheat so that it breaks the prenup for him.
did that issue come up in the restaurant that if she cheated it would obviate the pre-nup? I don't remember hearing that

As for Lucia, I still can't tell if she's running a con or not. My gut says there aren't going to be two completely separate cons in the same show - that we're only supposed to *think* Lucia is running one too - and that her story is actually the one that ends with a happy ending (much like the kid staying in Hawaii last season, except she makes it to LA).

Lucia is definitely trying to con Albie
come on man! escorts give freebies all the time!!

They were talking about being punished for what they were doing .

Albie kills Lucia when he finds out she is scamming him?
out of all the scenarios that seems the least likely.

albie all his life has been a pushover, suddenly he is going to become a stone cold murderer?

I was thinking the italians at the party would OD on all the coke and wind up dumped in the ocean

I said it earlier, but I don't think this show is a murder mystery based on season 1. I will be some random event or accident. Last season built everything up to make us expect some unhappy person finally snapped and murdered someone. What really happened was a drug fueled upper decking caused someone to get stabbed that would not have otherwise. This season is still a bunch of unhappy people acting like they are ready to snap.

My guess for one of the deaths is that the hoors bang the old guy so hard that he has a heart attack and dies.
that seems in line with this series

old depressed guy goes out on top literally and the girls freak and dump the body

at the same time the gigolo dies from an OD

Rewatched the first episode. There is a lot of foreshadowing now that you know who the characters are and there are a couple hints on what's to come.

This shows oozes foreshadowing. Some is misdirection. Some is real. That defines the show to me. They set up so many angles.

Speaking of - we get this exchange in Ep 6:

Portia - "How was the opera?"

Tonya - "She dies"

Opera music plays in the final scene of the episode with Tonya in the bedroom as they fade to black.

Foreshadowing a Tonya death or is that too easy?

There have been a slew of items
"They will have to drag me out of here"
"We will get punished"
Etc etc

That makes this show.

Interesting. Good timing? Do people really think the show is that good?

For me it is mildly entertaining, i like some of the scenery and music, its fairly sophisticated storytelling in some ways, but in some ways very menial, and sometimes outsmarts itself.

It is pretty good and i'll keep watching but mainly as it is a middle ground decent show both my wife and i can watch.

Nothing is all that funny, at least this season

No one is all that likeable or hateable or relatable
I know that is part of the point, but still…

I think it's just a nice break from genre stuff, sci-fi, superheroes, Disney+ fare, fantasy, etc, and audiences are very welcoming of that. I wouldn't call these characters "normal," but comparatively, they're everyday human beings involved in a compelling story set in a beautiful, Earth-bound location. No powers, dwarves, aliens, ghosts, etc. It's nothing more than a wickedly fun adult drama, and in this day and age that goes a long way for people.

Makes sense, and that is what does it for my wife for sure.

Im hoping the finale brings some wows, laughs or eyebrow raisers for the payoff.

On episode 3. Calling it right now, Aubrey Plaza's husband has to be gay. How does someone never want to have sex with his wife, especially when said wife is Aubrey Plaza in Italy.

They didn't waste much time getting to the man butt scenes. Hopefully no sh*tting this season.

So far I'm enjoying it. Seems a bit different than last season. I'm wondering if the rich young tech couple will have some kind of dark secret. I thought they were going to be swingers at first.
I could easily see it revealed that they're dead ass broke and that's why the husband is cozying up to the newly rich "friend."

Through episode 3, this is my thought. Either that, or ponzi scheme and he wants to take his friend for all he's worth.

I thought this as well but wasn't he jerking it to some girl masturbating when Harper walked in on him? Seems straight to me. And also, thats a sentence I thought I would never say on TexAgs.

I totally think it's a Ponzi scheme. Just not sure they have enough time to wrap all that up. Maybe it plays a part but I think they would have laid some more ground work with that.

I do think Daphne's line about how Cameron can just snap will come into play however.

And if you're not a fan of the all of those things, it's one of the few new shows on tv right now.

Tanya has had her moments, but I'm hoping these last 2 resolve her arc entirely and that she is not the permanent thread tying season to season to season

only disagree in that Tanya / Jennifer Coolidge is hilarious and an amazing actress.

I do agree that the overall conception and story lines with the heavy ghey overtones is lame and pretty bland.

I enjoy some of the dialogue, some of the acting, and mostly the locations and cultural aspects such as the opera and art.

Oooh..

what about when Daphne was talking about how Cam is an okay guy, but the guys he WORKS WITH are all scumbags and bad dudes

maybe two of them show up to get the money Cam owes them, which is why Cam is trying to get Ethan to give him his money to manage, and why he can't pay the slores?!

GENIUS!

disagree.

she does need to put on weight, but in some of the scenes where she is wearing makeup and has a tan she is pretty cute. she has nice eyes

also she is playing a @#$@#$ which makes her less attractive than if she was smiling and happy all the time
