Really happy with how it ended and the storytelling and acting is top notch.

But am I the only one that feels like it is a grating struggle bus getting through these seasons? Like I get that's the vibe and I guess I appreciate it, but dammit if I just want to fast forward sometimes. 7 hours of downer people with ****ed up lives and strained relationships, many of whom you don't root for, to get to that last episode which was actually a great payoff and ties it all together nicely. I don't know what it is, something about the pacing and intensity with no relief until the end I guess?

Wow I feel the exact opposite. I couldn't really care less about the mystery death being resolved, i actually enjoyed watching these rich miserable *****s cut each other up. The dialogue and charisma of the actors was something that had me wishing for more. Lol Different strokes I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I get it. And I guess that's the best way to view it. Ignore the misdirection and the ridiculous amounts of imagery shots and weird vibes and don't try to derive any meaning or guess where it's going. Just appreciate the acting, relationships, and black humor that it has in spades. Maybe that's Mike White's craft with this, it breaks a lot of "rules."

And yeah I don't know if it changes that we binged it over a week either.

This thread got really weird after the show ended. My wife and I agree season 1>2. The ending was unfulfilling and just a blah last episode to us, as people who don't do the crazy research half this thread does. It just lost me with her shooting up the whole boat in 9 shots. There's no way she's ever shot a gun before and killing everyone with a shot.

Lol the whole thing was a joke. The fact that Tanya merc'd a mafia "hit man" and single shot her would be killers was all clearly farcical.

Boat is pretty toght quarters. Wouldn't be that hard to get hits on everyone, even for a novice. If she took out the mafia guy first, the rich gays aren't going to fight back.

When I was watching the episode it looked like she was a horrible aim (from the perspective of the camera which I assumed where the gays and hitman). I thought that was the joke (she wasn't even close). But then after they were all dead, I had to assume that this was an artifact of Alec Baldwin and the Rust shooting that it's simply protocol now to never ever point the gun at the camera. Not really a relevant or interesting point, but just an observation (that'll I'll be looking for in future movies/TV).

Mike White is the most deranged person working in TV. And I love it.

There's a hot rumor that for season 3 he's bringing Connie Britton back to be sisters with Laura Dern (who was sensational in his Enlightened series).

Her voice on the phone was Laura Dern though. It's weird.

Yeah, that was kind of odd that they used her for the barely recognizable voice but then didn't for the picture. That would be easy to fudge and have her be the wife if they wanted to do so, though. Don't think anyone would be that upset that she wasn't the woman in the picture.

Maybe he didn't put her in the picture so he could justify casting her as a different character in Season 3? If she showed up in the picture then she's Doms wife for good and there's no getting around that.

Right, he left himself some wiggle room, which makes sense. I don't get why he used her voice for that call, but I don't know how booking that and the time commitment from the actress works. I guess she thought it would be fun/nice to do a quick favor/role like that?

I'm fine with continuing the themes of recurring characters and an element of the gay -- with Dadario and Sweeney filling the roles. Sweeney was taken aback when Dadario took off her coverup, as would any person, male or female. If only season 3 could celebrate that, with an equal amount of graphicness as they did the scenes in the first 2 seasons.

Loved the show, both seasons. Just had time to binge. Now I need something new.

See, my thought was just that she was inferring that she should have kids. I thought there was no trainer until I read this thread.

Daphne said the trainer was a gorgeous blond with big beautiful blue eyes. When she show Harper a picture, and Harper says "this is a picture of your kid," the photo is of a blond kid with big blue eyes. Daphne says "Oops, my mistake.

In a later episode, Daphne is face timing the kids and Cameron pretends not to hear her from the bathroom while brushing his teeth. He finally psyched himself up to talk to them.

Those ain't his kids.

As a side note, Megan Fahy was awesome and should get nominated for an Emmy.
