I didn't walk out early, but I did loudly "BOO" before leaving "Don't tell mom the babysitter is dead" when I was back in high school

Walked out of Hail, Caesar! with a few other people. Thought it was going to be a lot better and was really disappointed.

The Day the Earth Stood Still was the worst movie and acting I've ever seen. Walked out for the first time ever in that movie
Second one was "The Other Guys" - my dad and I both just weren't into it after a few minutes, so we left. I've always wanted to go back and give it another shot after the reception it got as a great comedy, but have never gotten around to it.

Moonstruck, don't remember why we left but that's the only movie I've walked out of a theater before it was over.

I probably walk out of 5-10% of the movies I go see. Northmen, Aquaman, one or two of the most recent Star Wars movies spring to mind. It's a movie ticket, not a sentence.

I had high hopes. Enjoyed Gettysburg, enjoyed all of the books but man that movie sucked. The Battle of Fredricksburg was pretty good in my opinion.

Top Gun Maverick. I might have been my fifth viewing, and I had to jet about 2 or 3 minutes before it ended to go pick up a kid from a party.
I didn't leave, but I saw Her at the Cinemark in College Station and I would venture to guess 70% of the nearly full theater left early. I've never seen an exodus quite like that one.

The idea of walking out of a movie is so weird to me. Do you not have at least a little bit of an idea of what to expect before you spend money to go see a movie?
Also, there are several decent/good movies listed in this thread. The Last Jedi? The Patriot? Avatar? Really?? These movies were SO bad you couldn't stand it anymore and had to leave?? I'm not buying it..
