Girl I briefly dated many many many years ago was Nicolas Cage fan. Went to see 8mm. Movie started to go the raunchy porn route, which I was excited to see her reaction. She was not as excited with the direction and we got up and left.
For some reason, that reminds me I tried watching MacGruber on the TV recently. The cemetery scene would've earned a walk from me.

I think Hader said on Norm MacDonald Live that Will Forte would do absolutely anything that was scripted for him without blinking. But not everything is funny.

I wanted to walk out of several, but the only i had to leave was The Polar Express... my 5 year old daughter at the time could not handle the kids not following the rules when they climbed off the train or on top of the train... stressed her out and we had to leave.

I walked out on one , but obviously I can't remember which one it was.

I did walk out on another one because my date became hysterical (and I really do mean HYSTERICAL) due to the violence and scary nature of the plot.

Just remembered that in 1950 I didn't walk out I RAN OUTof the original The Thing, All the way out of the theatre into daylight, because I was only 8 yrs old and it scared the **** out of me

8mm - I was a kid and went with my parents. I don't know what they thought it was going to be about, but porn obviously wasn't it.

Some awful comedy about two friends. I can't even remember the name of it. The trailer made it look funny. In one of the clips, they were buying things at the store and the cashier asked them if they were buying a murder kit. That was the only funny thing in the movie. It was really terrible.

Cloverfield.

The near-constant shaky, bouncing camera work that was designed to mimic someone running with a camcorder in hand was making me dizzy and nauseous. I tried to make it as long as I could, but finally relented when large portions of the audience started leaving a half hour into it for the same reason.

When I was a kid, I walked out of "The Dark Crystal". Freaked me out.

I'm sure there have been other movies I've walked out of but the one I remember most recently was "Interstellar". Good lord, that was slow and boring.

I fell asleep during "Unforgiven" and "Ready Player One".

Like many others here, turned off "Elvis" after 10-15 minutes.

Ditto…and I love Eastwood and Hackman. Westerns, too. Boring movie.

Only movie I walked out of was The Fifth Element. Garbage.

Tried to watch Waterworld for the first time awhile back. Had I seen it on a theatre back in the day I certainly would've bailed ten minutes in.

Can't believe someone walked out of The Road. That's an amazing film.

I'll be curious to see how many people on here can stomach the first minute of The Whale.

I wanted to walk out of Reds. I think I was around 8 years old when it came out. Parents made me go with them. Longest movie ever for a kid. Unfortunately I was slightly too young to drive to get the heck out of there. It clearly left a mark.

You should have seen Gandhi in the theater. If we attended and brought in our ticket stub and I think answered some questions about the movie, we got extra credit in Mrs. Murphy's world history class.

That movie had an intermission it was so long. I didn't have a license yet. I felt bad for my parents sitting through it with me although my dad was a history buff and didn't seem to mind.

3 hours and 11 minutes according to IMDB

Wish intermissions would return; I remember Gandhi and I think Out of Africa even had one.

Avatar - Way of Water needed a piss break. Only one person in our row didn't get up to go.

I've had the same thought during many of the really long movies I've seen in recent years. The intermission in older movies like Lawrence of Arabia were much needed. Would have been good for movies like Endgame or this latest Avatar flick.

Endgame was incredible on opening night and I wouldn't have left my seat for anything, but I had to pee like a racehorse after the credits finished rolling.

Went to see the Crying Game with a friend and his dad. We used to go see every movie that got Oscar buzz, which is why we went to see this one. Somehow my friend and I already knew the big secret of the crying game. My friend's dad did not. He immediately got up and told us we were leaving, which I had no problem with because the movie was incredibly boring.
