Late to the show, but I started watching this with my family over the holiday weekend after many friends and coworkers recommended it and holy smokes, we're loving it so far.

Watched season 1 this week. Really enjoyed it. Also fell in love with Jessica Williams

The first two episodes of season two dropped today (technically, last night) and I'm happy to report that the show is still as good and as charming as ever. Some genuine laughs, some genuine emotion, and more than anything I just love hanging out with this cast. It's a twelve-episode season (two more than last year), with one episode a week from here on out, so ten more weeks with these characters is fine by me. In fact, the season finale drops Christmas Eve, and the thought of all of this potentially leading to a Christmas special of sorts has me stoked. Especially when you see the third name listed in the writing credits for that episode (don't check until after you've watched the first two episodes, though, seeing as he makes a "surprise" appearance in a pivotal role)...

I've only watched the first episode of this season but damn I missed this show. It's so good.
Episode 3 was great
Last Drink was power full in so many ways. One of the best episodes of the series.
Agreed. This show might be better than Ted Lasso if they keep it up.
I enjoyed season 1, although not nearly as much as some of yall I will admit. But I will say season 2 has been VERY good, a whole step up from season 1 imo.

Yes and no. Before they made it big, Taran Killam and Mickey Day, of SNL fame, used to be my neighbors. Like, the apartment unit literally directly across from ours, maybe six feet away. And at the time, Taran and Cobie were dating (they're married with kids now), so she'd be over all the time, I'd see her, say hi, etc, and she was always super cool/very nice.
This is probably to pedantic but it bothers me he lets Alice drive that skateboard on wheels then buys her a 20 year old car.
Like you'd think he'd be more concerned about safety in the cars his daughter drives.

2004 and a tiny car? I wouldn't put my daughter in a 20 year old car and I haven't lost anyone in an accident.
Another good one
This show just keeps getting better. The acting by jason segel at the end of the episode was so good. You can feel that he's just overwhelmed with so many emotions and doesn't know what to do. From neglecting his daughter after the death of his wife, to being unable to truly forgive the driver even though everyone else has. Bitter sweet that the finale is next week already.
The National playing at the end was awesome. Perfect song for that scene.

Absolutely phenomenal season finale.
Harrison Ford's speech - I almost felt like he was speaking for himself rather than his character. I haven't read that he's been diagnosed with anything, but you just know at that age, people have to be facing their mortality head-on. Definitely felt real and not just acting on a show.
Jason Segel and Ted McGinley were also outstanding this season.
I was also initially distracted by the Louis character/story line. I thought it was too unrealistic that he is so likable.
But the bigger theme is about forgiveness, which is not something you see explored very often on shows and movies. And I think that is very powerful and moving.
