Really excited to see this movie. Grew up with Jordan. I think his rise in the 80s was better than his title years. This movie is set in that early time which was the best.

Thanks for the heads up, I scored 2 tickets for the San Antonio Drafthouse Sat night for my son and I and he is stoked.

He'll be wearing his 4 Military Blacks and I will be rocking the Tokyo Bio Hacks.

I think they said on the Simmons podcast that Michael Jordan said Viola had to play his mother.

Well done Jordan!

Affleck is on Smartless. i listened early and it was really good. And his voice sounded better.

But definitely check that one out.

TCTTS, can you explain how Ben and Matt's company is different than most? He explained what they do, but not necessarily the difference.

Essentially, most production companies don't have the financing to make their own content. They have enough to pay for staff and development, but often have to convince a studio or steamer to pay to get a project made (seeing as a script costs thousands, which falls under development, but a production costs millions) . That said, Affleck's and Damon's company has the proper financing for development *and* production, so all they need a studio/streamer for is to distribute. At least that's how I understand it. That, and the way they pay their crews is a little different. Directors and actors are often given the opportunity to take less upfront in exchange for more on the backend should the movie succeed at the box office. Affleck and Damon's company, however, allows, say, the cinematographer or other higher-up crew to get in on the action as well. There's a little more to it than that, I'm just not sure on the details.

One of my business partners actually had a call with their COO yesterday, who's putting us in touch with their head of creative, so we should learn a bit more soon (we have a couple projects we're going to send their way).

Thank you.

Basically, giving royalty deals to everyone not just the star director or star actor? So they can get the star cinematographer for a lower salary, decreasing the budget. The quicker the film is shot, the more profit? It incentivizes everyone to cost conscious beyond just the producers and directors?

My only experience on a movie set is that there spent a ton of money on craft services and some dude kept getting mad the extras were getting stuff from the wrong truck.

Word of warning, apparently Affleck spoiled a big cameo in the Flash on Smartless. And so it's making the rounds on Twitter.

Odd that he would spoil not only the cameo but specifically the circumstances of said cameo.

I had no idea what he was talking about since those movies don't interest me. I thought it had already happened.

Where have these posters been? So much better than the initial full-cast poster that was released...

I always thought this was the coolest scene - MJ walking through Barcelona very early in the morning during the Olympics because it was the only time he could get out in the public, then staring up at his own building sized poster.

Love that scene too. I must have watched Air Time dozens and dozens of times as a kid. For years, Michael Jordan's Playground, Come Fly with Me, Air Time, and NBA Superstars 2 we on constant rotation for me.

Great movie! Thought Tucker and Wayons held their own really well with the incredible trio of Davis, Affleck, and Damon. I love Jason Bateman but his character didn't do a whole lot for me.

Only thing I can say is I was conscious about the fact that I had a smile plastered on my face throughout the entire second half of the movie. It's really fun and interesting and inspiring. Absolutely go see it.

Couple of things:

-At first I thought that was Adam Sandler playing Phil Knight (with his sunglasses on).
-WOW, Chris Tucker looks . . . different.
